Kindness 101

 Around the holidays I was searching for an ornament.  If you remember the movie, A Year Without Santa Claus, you might remember the Heat and Freeze Miser brothers.  I was browsing etsy and came across a seller who made really sweet metal ornaments with the Heat Miser or the Freeze Miser. Unfortunately by the time I decided to buy them Heat Miser was sold out. So I bought the Freeze Miser, gave Kristen a good review and said if she made the Heat Miser again I would be the first person to purchase one!

These are similar images that are on the ornaments. They are lovely ornaments and I would recommend Kristen. She made me a Heat Miser because she loved the amazing review I gave her. She is a sweet lady and her ornaments are very nice quality, plus they are priced right. I was stunned to receive such a nice gift. Everyday I look for kindness and the day I received the ornament as a gift was one of those days. You don't have to get something to give kindness but I had to share it because it was an extra special person who cared enough that I loved her ornaments to make me a special one. 

Finding this also made see kindness. I love it and always like sharing thankfulness, gratefulness and blessings too.

I was grateful to my friend Lyn who shared this with me.  There is so much truth in what is written here.  I Love the take on the six best doctors.  Probably the best thing I have seen lately. Nothing like positive things to keep your spirits up. Stay healthy, Be happy and  keep being encouraged. The world will beat you down. turn on a TV or even a radio. If it does not scared you, make you angry or hurt your feelings, you would have to be dead unless you know there is power in being an encouraging light in the darkness we are going to live through. Some didn't like when I Posted my Scripture, at social media. Plus social media hated it. So I left there and decided I could say what I want here. I may not be the most popular blogger anyone ever knew, but I am truthful, I am honest and I always try to be encouraging.  

I started my first blog to talk about Tinkerbell, a little dog Rebekah had for 14 years. She was a rescue and my friend Barb enocouraged me to blog. I started out slow but made so many wonderful friends, some who are still here and some who left. Later my cousin Mike B. told me to blog about our heritage, our childhood or life long ago. I did that for a long while and realized this blogging stuff was great. It was an open book of my life. 

My faith will always be number one for me. I have lived through difficult days, tough times, health issues, financial disaster. I learned only one person could steer me through those rough waters, that was God. He has never let me down. I am grateful for knowing Him even today in difficut times when being a Christian is unpopular. 

I am grateful to those who helped me launch my blogging experience.  I will always love it as long as I can find something to share and I will continue to joining blog hops. If I can get to a point where I can visit daily instead of having to visit one blogger at a time I will be better. I am working on it. On that note:

Tarrah may go home by the first of the week. Ella is growing and getting stronger and she was able to be held my her mom too. It was a major accomplishment because Tarrah has had so much going on. Grateful for all the prayers and thankful that both of them are getting stronger each day. Blessed to have eveyrone here in my life. 

I hope your weekend is wonderful and you enjoy your time with those you love best. Nick returns to work Monday and he said they will receive holiday pay although they must work. Avery, Rebekah and Zach will be off for the MLK Jr. holiday. One thing I know is 100 percent truth about MLK Jr., he was never filled wiht hatred. Not the kind we see today so Monday will be a great day to stay away from any social media sites. Many will post MLK Jr. quotes andtalk about him when they do not know the real reason why he lived and died the way he did.  He would be terribly sad to see what is happening in 2021. It is truly tragic. He was an icon striving for better relations with all mankind, not just your group or their group but all people of all race, color, creed.  If many people would know the true history of MLK Jr. they would not be filled with hatred.

Enjoy the weekend.  Join me in honoring what MLK Jr. stood for. It was not violence and hatred. He stood for tolerance and love and kindness. I see all of that in blog world, I do not see it too many other places.  Tomorrow I have a little story to share about a kindess someone gifted me.  Everyday I look for a kindness no matter how small to share. I keep them so I May share them especially when times are difficult or I feel like this world is hopeless. Currently, it is not and I thank God for that. Thankful Thursday

 

This is Daphne. She is my son-in-law Zach's cat. She had a difficult early life and his sister saved her and her siblings from hard times when someone threw them away. She is very quiet and very skittish but she is so beautiful and every morning I see her and tell her Good Morning. She was on her perch on top of her house. It is funny I bought that house for Rose, she did not like it. Then one of the puppies, my money is on Finn, peed on it! I was able to remove and wash the mat inside and since that time Daphne decided this was her property. She also took over the tall cat tower. Mister Kitty is mad he had to give up his tower to Miss Daphne. But he's a bit of a bully and he sleeps in all the puppy beds so I guess that makes it all even. Of ocurse, no puppies are harmed or in those beds when he hops in. Reminds me of Goldilocks! THis bed is so hard, this bed is too soft, this bed is just right! Please visit Thankful Thursday

Wordless Wednesday

 

Wordless Wednesday

The drain was placed in Ella's head today to release the pressure and fluid build-up from her brain bleed. She did great and is slowly waking up since she had to be completely put under. They took a good amount of fluid and this should help her move forward. She is now over her birth weight at a whole 2 lbs. 12 oz.!! Tarrah says it is so hard not being with her but so great to sell her growing. She has comea long way in the past two weeks. She can not wait to snuggle this swett little girl.!

Tarrah is still in ICU. Praying she will downgraded to a regular room soon so she may see Ella in person.

Thank you for the comments, the prayers and thank you for just being here. God is so good sending so many good people to us. I Look forward to the day to snuggle this little girl, longafter her mom and dad have had a good fill of her and could use a break, maybe five minutes? Thank you again.

Happiness is perfection  just like this quote. Look beyond the imperfections. Today we spend so much time beating others up because they don't think like us. We've become so intolerant. I wish we would all be happy and use kindness first.

Please continue to pray. Tarrah woke up with breathing issues. They found some fluid on her lungs. She went back into the hospital and they are diagnosing and she is  receiving treatment .  Ella is kicking butt with her lungs and she is gaining weight. But she has a blood clot and they are going to put in a fluid drain to alleviate the pressure so there will not be any damage. Please pray. My heart is heavy for both of them. I think Tarrah needs rest and treatment. I am no doctor but I know how much she loves her boys. I Know how she surrounds them with love. But right now she needs TLC and that being said, she needs to stay put at the hospital until they resolve this. As for Ella, I am that neuro expert knowing all about the problems pressure can cause. We just want that tiny girl to keep gaining weight, keep improving her lungs and going home eventually. Thank you.

I am working on reading the bible everyday through 2021 and I am doing a study with Kaylene Yoder. She is a really wonderful person and her studies really draw me to my bible studies.
