"S" is for Sunshine and Blue Monday Touched with Love is...

As a child I loved learning this song and I sang it a lot! As a young mother I sang it to my children. It is a wonderful song and I found a few images to share for Sally and the Blue Crew!
This one has a pretty blue and yellow sun flower drawing on the card! So simple and sweet.
Colorado is happy the sun has returned! This image shares a beautiful sunrise shared by a happy skier! The sky is always so blue here!
In the book "A 1,000 Places to see Before You Die" shares Telluride, Colorado as a place to visit. The sun loves shining on this beautiful town and if you ever have the chance to visit please do.It is tucked away high in our mountains and this is a view you would see. Blue skies, spacious open spaces.
Doesn't this Love is...warm your heart? I love seeing eye to eye with my hubby and some days it does not always happen. On Friday he took off several hours from work to take me to urgent care for an ear infection. My silly doctor happened to see on call and sent me home with some very strong medication. I am still light headed but will head to work this morning. I will have to learn to cut down on my stress and spend a few more quiet moments than not! My hubby made some favorite foods for me and made sure I was taken take of. It made me smile even through my pain! Say a prayer for Marydon because she is dealing with a more serious health issue. She always shares her favorite Love is... with us so you should too.
A few areas of Colorado will thrill you with their pretty autumn colors. But hurry snow was in the high country this weekend and more is on the way. Visit Ms. Jenny and see all the "S" posts there! I was late but share my favorites too. This week had to see sunshine after all the rain we had!

Autumn is Here With Pink Goodness

Here is a perfectly pink road I would love to run on!

Where is this? I want to go there!
+
Our Autumn/Fall is being interrupted by snow in the high country!
I need to visit these beautiful pink trees!
Gorgeous pinks! Come say hello to Beverly and some pinkies too! I wanted to put this post up last week and had a different set for today but changed it up!

I am struggling with dizziness and a severe ear infection. So say a prayer I heal quickly.
Nick (orange) is running at Oklahoma State U today. Please pray they run well.

Some say Autumn, others Fall! Whatever you wish to call it, the cooler weather is in the air. It is crisp and the leaves are getting ready to crunch when they hit the ground!
A run is a good thing because you can hit the open road and enjoy the scenery while you stay healthy! Look at the blue sky!
You can run to exotic places but the sky will usually still be very blue!
A quiet lane to run or even walk on! That sky is pale!
Stretch before you run or walk! A nice park bench will help keep your balance and the blue sky will be your guide to a relaxing experience!

I hope you see some blue pumpkins on your outing today! Now run or walk over to Sally's and check out all the blues.

Rain Go Away

Oh the rain came and it helped the drought conditions we were having in Colorado! Then it turned unpredictably deadly! Loss of lives, property, lives turned upside down and inside out! A tragedy of biblical proportions! I am just stunned when I look at the photos I am seeing of the devastation. This google image is near Johnstown, Colorado. It is one of those little areas where people don't have a lot to begin with. Sad and heartbreaking.

The roads washed away and leaving behind an unbelievably horrible disaster!
The Platte River which runs thru Colorado and Western Nebraska was going to crest to ten feet this evening. It can cause major damage because it will affect I-80 a major highway. Please pray. The doctor I work for heads to Wray and Yuma tomorrow for clinic. They have been hard hit by the rain too. Pray for the rain to cease so this devastation will stop.

Boulder, Colorado. The images are mind boggling that rain could become so wicked and so deadly.
Sunset Street in Longmont, Colorado or what is left of it. A friend lived near there for many years.
Evergreen, Colorado. The hard blinding rain came and it did not want to leave!

I am a very positive person. Whenever it rains I get this old song "Don't Let The Rain Come Down" by the Serendipity Singers in my head!  So I am not making light of the disaster that happened here but I wanted to share a happy moment! I like the rain when I can safely go outdoors and walk and splash in it!
Colorado has been hard hit through the years from the floods in my hometown of Pueblo in 1921 and 1965 to this most recent 2013 flooding. Often these floods are widespread and take innocent lives with the major damage it does. My sisters home is one of the houses that survived the flood of 1921. My folks home sat at the top of a hill with a view of Pikes Peak from our front window and we were on vacation in 1965.  As much as I love the rain this was so different. The wild behavior of this rain which caused major flooding and left people homeless was tragic. I read about a woman who is believed to be dead in Loveland, Colorado. Her three children found a family photograph floating ten miles away from their home. Someone added a photo to their Face Book page stating they found wedding photos drifting down the street and wished to return them to their rightful owner in Longmont, Colorado.. Lots of stories will emerge from this terrible tragedy and many stories will put a smile on your face, I hope you will visit Ms. Jenny and all the wonderful "R" posts today. I hope you will pray for my home state and I pray that people will be reunited with loved ones and this tragedy just continues to make all of us kinder, stronger and more aware of the world around us.

"For you would forget your trouble, As waters that have passed by, you would remember it." Job 11:16 NAS Bible

A couple notes: If you go to my Face Book Page Anne Kocman Robinson you can click on the Ford delaership there who is donating $10 to the flood victims for each click! Also if you go to Holly Webb's Face Book Page, she is my niece, she is working with a program called Operation Backpack and collecting backpacks for kids from Lyons, Co. who will be starting school in Longmont next week due to the devastation in their own home town. Please help out and remember to pray.

Rain and Prayers and Psalms

I still give thanks! We needed rain but had no idea we would be hit with such devastation. I truly believe God is always in control so we will get through this like we have anytime tragedy and destruction strikes us. We are Colorado Strong!
I think the Book of Psalms can comfort one in difficult situations. I chose these google images in blue! So I could could say hello to some favorite folks like Sally and all the Blue crew!
We need water transportation. It is really scary to see the areas that are shattered by these storms.

We need to respect the water. We never know when we will be tested with it.
I hope you were able to share my blues. Now please go forward with a wonderful week! Hugs to all that take time to visit and know you are so special to me.

"Q" is for Queen of My Castle!

I love my phamily! I love all their quirky little habits, their kind hearts and their loyalty to phamily. But I rule my home with a Queen's mentality. I have my own quirky ways about me. I am strong willed and sometime, too quick, to become angry. I pray about that. I pray about everything. Life is a tough journey. It is filled with so many potholes and curves in the road. Living in Colorado, and watching the devastation all around us, I know how fortunate I am that only one room in my home was damaged by these wicked waters that raced through our  state.
Jeremy loves to act silly at the store. Fortunately many employees at this Target store know him! He use to work there! Do you love his hat?
Rebekah wore her chic black and white hat to our tea party a few weeks ago. It was a terribly hot day. Now we are drenched from the rain storms.

Nick and Cowley team mates with Ham! Nick is on the far left. and Josh next to him. They are roomies this year. Ham is standing next to Issac, Shane(from Drogheda, Ireland) and then Eli is on your far right.

Rebekah and Hannah from Ryan's graduation Day 2013!

The kids 2013!

Isn't Colton pretty in pink? I laughed when he wore this shirt on the first day of class! He is a high school junior! Yikes! Where did time go.
Homecoming 2013 tonight. Colton and Ariona. They are cute aren't they?
Phamily photos for quick fun! The Queen of the House loves to share her phamily.
How about a Pug and a Kiss?
How about a cool pink magnet board using an old cookie sheet? I needed to share my fun pinks here too. Beverly is always so gracious hosting Pink Saturday. I think pink is so cool so I had to share several today. I put up the sweetest pink parking meter from Paris last week and Beverly said the thumbnail caught her eye! Made me smile because I am always at https://pinterest.com/‎ and I am always finding great shares there as well as always sharing many google images I collect in blue and pink to share here with you!  Linda is currently enjoying a beautiful trip to Paris, France so I was thinking of her and all the fun she is having and that parking meter made me wish I was there too. If I found my images at pinterest or google and they are yours let me know. I would be grateful to share all the creative hearts I meet here and I always want to make sure the owner gets credit! I am so overwhelmed by all the creative talented people I know here. Makes me smile!

Visit Marydon and share our favorite Love is..here. This could be the hubby and I. We love to doze together!

Now please visit Ms. Jenny and share your "Q" before you miss the deadline! I enjoy visiting Ms. Jenny, Beverly, and Marydon so come join some fun today!

What's Blue For Blue Monday?

Oh goodness, Summer is quickly going to fade away and Autumn will find its way into our lives. I love the crisp fall air and crunchy apples. Two of my favorite things about the weather cooling off. But we still have a little Summer left so get out your fresh blueberries and you can make this simple pie. It is from Rose Levy Beranbaum, Her cookbook the Pie and Pastry Bible is amazing. This one is simple and I would share it with Sally and all the Blue Crew.
