Feline Friday and Pink Saturday

 Feline Friday

Some peopel do not like black cats, they tend to be associated with Friday the 13th. Well my boy Boots was the most fabulous feline I ever knew. He was pure class. He had a bit of an ornery streak. If he did not want his photo taken he would turn his head so I could not see his eyes. He had a milk mustache and white paws and a white chest. He was an exquisite gift and I will love him forever.

He never left my side. He always stayed very close by. So while Friday the 13th comes to a close, I cle]ebrate my Handsome boy who lives in my heart forever.

Between Garfield hitting the wall  Phamily Blog and Snoopy stressing I would say this was a good conclusion to my day today.

A vintage pink phone booth in London with a pink phone. when I was young I always wanted that pink Princess phone or the Victorian phone. Sigh.....now people spend way too much time on cellphones. I miss those good old days. Please visit Beverly for a Random Pink Saturday where anything goes. This image came from google.

Feline Friday and Friendly Fill In's

Feline Friday This child cracks me up! He was trying to watch some skateboarders on the Olympics while he and his buddy, Mister Kitty, were chilling. He is going to start school Wednesday next week and I am devastated. This boy is one of the loves of my life. He spent two days a week with me from the time of his birth until he turned two years old. He is 5 now and headed to full day kindergarden . I am going to miss him. When he walks into my house, he is always ravenously hungry. So I have to stop whatever I am doing and make his special mac n cheese and no matter the weather, his steaming cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows and whipped cream. When I get the whipped cream out, he also says, give me a shot grandmother and I hit that button and spray a mouthful of whipping cream into his mouth. He is such a joyful child. Sometime he does not get his feel so I have to "hit" him again, He is a cat lover and the only human being I know of, that can pet the spoiled cat from his head to his tail. My finicky feline does not care for his sister, Shea.

She approaches everything with this look on her face! The cat is mortified and runs away to hide until he knows she has left the building. She is a crazy girl, hates the word N O and will sit quietly when she is given her meals. There is nothing she won't eat and she gives everyone a run for their money. She is getting faster on foot and can leave you in the dust. But when she is sleepy she is as sweet as a tiny kitten. She is going to miss her brother when he goes to school. He can make her laugh , stop her tears and generally keep her in an excellent mood. The two of them together can light up a room.

Feline Friday

Feline Friday I can't get many good shots of Mister Kitty. He is a lazy bones. Now he loves the Minky Couture blanket. I hope he is having sweet dreams.

Sometime I wonder what he is dreaming of. He is always very content so I suppose that is an excellent sign.

Ellen and Lorianne sharing hosting duties on this blog hop. Ellen thought up the first two and Lorianne the other two. Here are my answers:

1. I just can't bring myself to believe anything I read at social media.

2. I have a hankering for fresh peaches. We go to a farmers market that says the Palisade peaches are here. I hope they had a GREAT crop this year.

3. Grandchildren changed my life.

4. At this stage of my life, I  take one day at a time and try to be kinder.

Come over and share your answers too.

We had pasta night at Jeremy and Brittany's Tuesday night. This girl is fearless. Inside the dog house or kennel if you will she went. That face is priceless.

I am not sure if this is a new dance but Harrison and Brody sure were living it up.

Both Brody and Blake are fascinated with Shea.  Blake is such a smart little guy. He can count and he knows all his colors. He will turn two next month.

This photo was taken December 2, 2017 when Rebekah and Zach married. We could never win the longest marriage  at a wedding dance against my brother Bill. On july 13, 2021 he and Joyce were married 58 years. That is quite an accomplishment. My brother also has the same lifelong friends and they are not kids anymore! A belated Happy Anniversary to Bill and Joyce.

Now for some rest and hoping and praying for sweet dreams. Going to be sad when Hannah and Jake leave tomorrow. Please pray for safe travels. Also pray for my friend Lorna. She is having a complex surgery tomorrow.  Get your beauty rest. Thank you for being here with me.

Feline Friday

Feline Friday Do you think this cat is being truthful?

This cat thinks he is an airplane. Like children, a cat and or a dog would rather play inside an empty box than play with the expensive toys inside.

The Lord cares about living creatures. He is not concerned with color, he created man/woman in His own image. He created animals to use for good not to abuse or harm. The bible is filled with Scripture showing how much God cares for all His living creatures.

Do you subscribe to any magazines? I use to get many of them but today I only keep up with a few. I use to get Good Housekeeping, I love Bon Appetit and Better, Homes and Gardens along with Southern Living.

This dog cracks me up! Is it really Friday already? Y A Y ! It means for me, I get 9 whole days, God willing, with my sweet husband Avery. He is on vacation . We will celebrate Hannah's big birthday bash Saturday. We will have all week long to do somethings we have beein missing. We heard a favorite pizza place in Colorado Springs, Fargo's is back in business after nearly a year hiatus! SO grateful for this.

It will be so nice to go back and have pizza with our phamily.

Fargo and Sophie have greeted guests since December 1973. Boy oh boy, was I a youngster back then barely in my first year of college.

Having participated in the Tuesday 4 blog hop and talking about my blogging experiences throughout the years, I started to think of people who blogged and then left for whatever reason, Here are a few of them:

Linda  lives on a Kansas farm. She is an Alaska born girl living her life out on the plains of Kansas. She and her husband Phil are the most amazing CHRISTian couple. Their mission has always been to bring people  to Christ.  I miss the days of her blogging and keeping up with the farm and their kids and grands. What a wonderful person Linda is. She is the most amazing friend and I had the pleasure of meeting her, Phil and their daughter Tressa on a trip to Sterling, Kansas to watch Nick run in a college XC Meet. I love Linda like a sister and she is always there for anyone who needs prayer.  I really wish she had the time to come back to blog.

Barb I have known Barb since age 13. She was my first pen pal from Tiger Beat magazine. Back in the day when you could make friends without fear of meeting a kidnapper or get involved in some horrible situation. She is the one who encouraged me to blog. I miss her keeping up her blog. Life happens to allof us, I just wish she could come back and journal all the things she has had to deal with regarding health issues for both herself and her sweet hubby. Did I mention I was her maid of honor when they married in 1977? We keep in touch, still today.

Shannon This lady is one of the sweetest kind hearts I know. She had a wonderful blog, a journal of sorts. She has a business JunkFlirt and she repurposes old furniture and whatnot. Her talent is incredible and she suffers from a disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis. She suffers in pain more than I could even imagine yet she preserveres and works hard on her business. I know a bit about the disease because my great cousin Mike has it. He wrote about on his blog Life in BoJon Town because the illness strikes many people with an Eastern European ancestry. Mike knows I would like to see him blog again. He has the most colorful language of anyone I know who blogs but he has not had an easy time with his health. I loved when he told stories of our childhood neighborhood. He always say, no matter where I live, Bojon Town will always be my home. I feel the same way he does. Mike also knows I will take any opportunity I can to badger him about blogging. He has a real knack for writing and all those stories, they warm my heart.

Angela is another blogger who I miss so much. She had a blog hop called Tuesday Show and Tail. It was so much fun and I keep bugging her to come back to blogging too.

I didn't write this to slight any other blogger that stopped but if you read this and know others, please give us all a shout out. I use to have this crazy dream that I was given the opportunity to travel America in one of those luxury RV's. I would dream that I traveled from states A to Z and would track down each blogger I knew in each state. Wouldn't that be the coolest job ever? The thing about dreams, no one can take them away from you.

In memory of my old neighborhood, my folks and all those amazing great BoJon's I know Goodnight and Sweet Dreams. May God bless each one of you and may we live to see another day all together now, God willing.

Feline Friday

Loretta shared this and made me smile out loud. Please stop by and visit  Feline Friday

My answers:

1. This summer, I plan to enjoy time with my phamily and especially

to celebrate  all the July birthdays.

2. My favorite food at a bbq is a grilled beef hotdog with a special topping

my sis created years ago - onions, green chilies and mushrooms

with a splash of EVOO and s/p.

3. You'll find me blowing bubbles and chasing little ones at a party.

4.  Creepy crawlers or spots on the wall and or ceilings . Are they real, are

they flecks in the paint? Hmm... is the silliest thing I've ever argued about.

No matter who you are or where you live, you
should be proud of where you come from.

Praying I will see you soon. Sweet dreams.

Feline Friday

I found this google image and had to share it. Those are some interesting feline names. My favorite, always and forever is Nathaniel Pawthorne. Feline Friday

A cool cat, a refreshing cold drink and some sun shades. It is one way to beat the heat.

Ellen and Lorianne co host this fun blog hop. Ellen came up with the first two and Lorianne the other two. Thanks ladies.

1. If I could trade places  with someone for a day,  I would trade with no one . I like me ok and I would love to have the traits my grandmother Cecilia had. I am not sure I could have lived her life. But I loved her dearly.

2. I would like to own a  bigger closet some day.

3. I can't stand  the heat and allergies this time of year. It is rneally bad this year.

4.Phamily is my favorite thing about this time of year. Anytime of the year actually.

My morning ran away from me. Banking and groceries and such. I spent lots of time creating a Father;s Day playlist for my sweet husband. Three hours later I looked at the clock, Here I am but I get into my music and time flies away from me.

These are the Brothers Robinson II. Their dad  Jeremy and his younger brother Nick are the  Brothers Robinson I,  although their dad Avery was the "original" Brothers Robinson with older brother Mike (RIP) and John.  We have not see John since 2016  . We lost Mike in 2015. I am grateful my sweet husband has some nice photo memories with his brothers and of course, his lone sister Lucy too.

A google find. Sweet poetry.

This snapshot of my father-in-law Carl is my husband's favorite photo. He has it framed and it sits on his nightstand.  Oh how I miss him and his ornery sense of humor. He would celebrate a birthday on June 20th.

So I will say Happy Heavenly Birthday and Father's Day to him today. He is the second guy next to the two guys chatting on your right.  Oh the stories he would tell. But never about war and he was near Pearl Harbor in a submarine when the attack happened. He worked as a guard at the CFandI Steel Corp. My dad worked in the rail mill as a head roller. They worked so hard to provide for their phamilies.

My father-in-law drove a Dodge truck like this one. I would love to be able to afford to purchase this truck and a truck like my dad's 69 Chevy truck.  I found this photo at google images

I will return tomorrow with my stories of dad's in my life. Have a beautiful evening.

Feline Friday

Feline Friday I might need a frame for this perfect photo! Ths feline seems to think the Minky blanket is his hmmmm......

My answers to Friendly Fill In's are here:

1. Lately, I've been trying to organize my house since the rain stopped.

2. I find stargazing fascinating.

3. If I had known, I was still going to be here, all these years later, I would saved more for a rainy day.

4. I can't help but eat too much junk food, when I'm nervous.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne the second two questions. Thanks ladies.

This was Colton's graduation from ihgh schoolin 2015. He is with Jeremy, Brittany and Addy. How did Addy grow up to be a teenager so fast? I love these memories.

I had to share Nick in his pink Ralph Lauren shirt from 2015. I just love his smile here. Nick had a tough end of 2020 and start of 2021. I am glad he is feeling so much better. That pneumonia kicked his butt. He fits into Pink Saturday perfectly so stop by and say hi to Beverly and all the Pinkies.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by.

Feline Friday and Anniversary Joy

 Feline Friday

I will always miss my Boots. He was a BFF (Best Feline Friend).  I hope you visit Sandee and wish her a fabulous cruise for their anniversary.  Join the fun too.

Brittany and Jeremy celebrate five years of marriage on April 30th. It was a picture perfect day, snow and all. Stop by Pink Saturday

Jeremy received the very best bonus when he married Brittany. Addy was just a small girl. Today she is a cool teen. These two get along well.

Robinson pham when Blake was just a tiny tiny boy. Memories are the best. We store them inside our hearts. So happy for these kids. They have been in their new place a short while and it looks terrific. They have so much room.  They both work so hard so it is good to see them reap some good benefits. Wishing them a Happy Anniversary today and always.  Photo by Jessica Montoya Phtography.
