GOODBYE JUNE HELLO JULY

 Thankful Thursday

2021 is coming and going quickly. Can you believe we will be past the halfway mark now?? Snoopy was surfing USA now he's celebrating AMerica's Independence Day. I LOVE Snoopy and I loved Charles Schultz. His Snoopy and Charlie Brown Gang are simply timeless. Thankful for it all.

I've been working around my house and have been in a blogging slump. I want to do a weekly or even daily reminder of Jessica and her kind heart. I was overwhelmed with it all. Then I never want to forget Sharon and had them both on my mind. I will make it all work out. Sharon and I had a long friendship and we disagreed on many issues. True friendship reveals itself when you can disagree and still love someone. I may incorporate some of her stories here. She was a hoot and I miss her calling me terribly.
I figured since Sharon isn't here to cheer me up with her stories maybe Maxine could help. Oh Maxine, I am downsizing around my house but now you made me think.....hmmmmm.....hahahaha! Maxine added a few pounds during the 2020 year and I think some of us did too. Oh Maxine, you are so snarky!

Our baby girl turns 30 on July 3. I found this C.S. Lewis quote to share:

Thirty was so strange for me. I've really had to come to terms with with the fact that I am now a walking and talking adult. C.S. Lewis

She and Jake will be visiting here the week after her birthday. We wish we could be there with them but life often simply gets in the way. We are so thankful they will be here soon.

"I'm turning thirty years old this year...it's better than 20, I'll tell you that. The lessons I've learned." Christina Aguilera  (born 1980).

July 3 is also the heavenly birthday of my dad's little brother Frank. He would be 106 years old but he barely made it to his third birthday before he passed away. 1918 was not a kind year for my grandparents and their phamily. Resting in his heavenly home, I am certain he is with those he loved best. For that I am very thankful.

There is always someone or something to pray for. I love to be asked to pray for others. I keep a list on my phone and I am faithful to praying each day.

I have missed many fun memes lately. Just life getting in my way and my home needing my attention. I thank Ellen and Lorianne for hosting this one and thinking up the weekly fill in's.

1. This summer, I plan to ________________.

2. My favorite food at a bbq is ________________.

3. You'll find me ___________at a party.

4. _________________is the silliest thing I've ever argued about.

I will be back tomorrow to make sure I reveal the answers I have.

We have had some rain and some cooler temps. I am thankful for it all. I wish you a restful night and many sweet dreams. I pray tomorrow we are all here again. Have a beautiful night/

Thankful Thursday Feline Friday and More

Perhaps I have shared her before, but this is my great grandmother Mary Virant Steblaj. I never knew my maternal grandfather as he passed away when my mother was just 13. This is his mother. she had three daughters and my grandfather . I really wish I knew more about all of them. My mom's cousin Frances had one daughter Pam and she thankfully posted photos as her grandmother was one of the daughters. I love researching my phamily but there was lots of sadness and I get emotional so I have to stop. I am thankful there are resources today to find information you might otherwise not know.
I am always thankful for humor. Here is a cute one. It reminded me of Halloween. One year my hubby was out with the kids and I was home alone. This would be me. HaHaHa Please visit Thankful Thursday

Humor is gets you through the tough times.

Visit Feline Friday for more fun. I am not sure our cats would enjoy wearing a Halloween costume although I did know a cat who wore a harness and went for walks.

Ellen and Lorianne co host this fun blog hop:

Here are this week's questions which these two great gals share in making up each week:

1. I Keep __________,but__________.

2. I don't need _________but I want, ___________.

3. I would want _______________to be etched on my tombstone.

4. If I heard something go bump in the night, I would __________.

My answers:

1. I keep trying to eat less sugar, but my hubby temps me with giant Health bars. ALthough we eat only a couple small squares each night, I think we need to stop.

2. I don't need more clothes, but I want more comfy and cozy clothing for the winter.

3. I would want something similar to my folks, (they have the 23rd Psalm) etched on my tombstone.

4. If I Heard something go bump in the night, I would know Mister Kitty was prowling around the house, probably seeing if Daphne ate all her dinner.

Prayers for Jenn and Zak. They really want a child but have struggled with infertility. Please pray for them. They are two of the sweetest people.

Brody has been feeling under the weather. Nothing serious but it is hard to feel poorly and  keep up with your little brother. Those sniffles are part of the weather changing.

Continue to pray, if you are a prayer warrior, for Joan and her cancer and Charlene dealing with the loss of her foot. My understanding of amputations result in feeling like your foot/leg/arm are still there. She is a very upbeat lady but this is entirely unfamiliar territory for her. Thank you.

Lots of people to pray for feeling poorly too.  This time of year has always been difficult because our weather changes and it is often simply sniffles from pollution in the air and lots of other things. I think sometime we all overdramatize things.

Stay healthy and thank you for visiting me. Remember to come join the postcard exchange. I will have some cards going out this weekend.

Happy Tuesday and More

These two seem very appropriate for Happy Tuesday This blogger is driving me mad with not allowing my link to connect with the appropriate  blog host for the blog hops. I feel defeated some days. But I wanna be like the cat, who has that, I Don't Care attitude! I Know where I am linking to and I visit there anyway. I was thinking of Sean Dietrich and his writings because he happens to love the big ole dog type like this one pictured here.  Some of us are feline fans, others are not.

Dogs tend to be obedient and cats, well.....not so much! I am always missing Angela when she hosted Tuesday Show and Tails. Life happens and gets in the way. I hope you stop by Angela and come visit or come back to your blog.

Shannon at JunkFlirt has been a blogger too. Missing all of you. She shared this silliness and I Had to love it and laugh at loud at it.

Even Maxine knows you need a dose of good chocolate!

Amen Charlie Brown! Please pray for  Theresa as she lost her precious sister Brenda September 28th. Those are difficult losses. I often think if only I could ask my big sister. If only I could call my mom. Charlie Brown is a perfect example of Happy Tuesday because he has his priorities straight.

Following Christ is easy but imitating him is hard in this world. So much going on against all that is good and kind and decent.
