Soup and a Sandwich?

You are very welcome here at Toni Taddeo's Tuesday 4 where we ask you 4 questions each week in hopes of encouraging blogging and learning more about other bloggers through their answers.

Once again  if you have ideas for topics leave them in comments here or on my blog.

Campbells has their beautiful factory  in Camden, New Jersey.

1. What is your favorite sandwich? What kind of bread, roll.. toasted or not? Butter: salted or sweet?
Turkey, Avocado, Provolone cheese on Sourdough Bread, mayo and mustard with lettuce and tomato too.

2. Do you have a favorite soup? Do you make homemade soup often? What kind?  Tomato or Tomato Basil and Mushroom Soup

What's your favorite store bought soup? I like homemade soup but will buy Campbell's tomato or tomato basil soup.

3. What kind of cheese should be on a grilled cheese sandwich and should it be served with tomato soup or some other flavor ? American, Cheddar, Provolone, take your pick/

4. Is it a Hoagie, a Sub, a Zeppelin, a Grinder, or a Hero or maybe a Dagwood?   What's on it? Oil.. vinegar, onions, peppers, mayo? We make subs at our house, lots of roast beef, turkey and ham with cheddar cheese, American cheese, Mozzarella slices or Provolone or Pepper Jack  Cheese. We usually buy some sub rolls at the bakery. Mayo & mustard for me with pickles, sliced tomatoes and lettuce. We do oil on Italian subs.

Thanks for dropping by!

HAPPY TUESDAY

I am all over the place today! So is this blog post and my other blog

HAPPY TUESDAY

My blog posts are wild & crazy today. Sort of like me and the weather here. At least the weather is trying to warm up.

Having just been on a plane trip, I can relate to Maxine!  She makes me happy and I do Sandee loves her too so this is for Sandee and everyone who loves Maxine.

Nick and Colton are heading to Chicago for a quick trip tomorrow. I think they just went out to lunch as Colton was picking up Harrison from school.  Nick was going to a late lunch with them today. But Nick had plans to visit his friend Isaac  from his college days and Colton decided to join him. They are staying for two nights and plan to eat all the Chicago favorites. I am praying for safe travels. But at least here, the weather is good.

Noelle returned from a quick trip to visit our new grandson in Western NY. He turns 3 months old today. Hannah and Jake are private so no photos but picture Brody & Blake and some of the silly faces you have seen on them. Yeah, they are all related !

Found at Pinterest from an etsy artist, love this sweet lamb wishing us an early Happy Easter.

FRIENDLY FILL IN'S

Friendly Fill In's Lorianne is hosting last Friday's Friendly Fill In answers. Ellen is taking a blogging break as her sweet feline girl Joanie has gone tot he Rainbow Bridge. My thoughts & prayers are with her. Those losses are so hard.  Ellen did input the first two questions and Lorianne the second two.

1. I refuse to spend more than ______________for ______________.

2. I am not ashamed to admit____________________.

3. I've been obsessed with ______________lately.

4. When someone tells me _____________, I ________________.

My answers:

1. I refuse to spend more than $100 on groceries each week. It is getting very difficult not to go over.

2. I am not ashamed to admit I love pink and collect everything I can find, in pink!

3. I've been obsessed with reading lately.

4. When someone tells me a secret, I keep it to myself.  I am a talkative person by nature, but I am also honest and trustworthy.

Feline Friday

These two look like my boy, although he has amber colored eyes.

In a perfect feline world, this would be his phamily. It would be a world where these fur babies would not have to go to the Rainbow Bridge and would leave forever as long as the world went on with us, it is a happy thought I have when there is loss in this ole world.

I will end this very late post with this

Happy Tuesday and Maxine Cracks Me Up

 Happy Tuesday

I love these words! We had great plans to work in our garage this weekend. Unfortunately with most of us  under the weather it was not to happen. So we did little clean ups instead and have a bag to take to the thrift store donations. I am happy the new week is here and I am going to be able to have lunch with my sister-in-law Cheri.  Then I will be working around the house on small projects. Organizing is easy once you get the hang of it. When I was a young woman working in a business office my friend and co worker Twana said to be, "Anne, your so organized you face your paperclips in all the same direction. I've looked in your desk drawer! hahaha...I don't know what happened except life and stuff and too much stuff so I think I am putting it all together. I also sold two more items at my Poshmark sight so I am happy that both buyers gave he a five star rating and I should see my money in my account by Tuesday or Wednesday this week.

Maxine...

I was shocked that Maxine was taking from her neighbors. I sure hope I don't see her flying her drone near my house! hahaha...

Happy Tuesday Maxine Cracks Me Up

 Happy Tuesday

You know that Maxine cracks me up..... welll........ she is a wild one today!

What are we going to do with Maxine? I'll tell you , absolutely nothing! She is her own person in a man's mind! Kudos to the gentleman who creates Maxine and her snarkiness.

Are you happy? I sure am. It is ninety seven degrees outside yet I am chilling indoors with a limeade and cold water and nice a/c to keep us sane. Yesterday Avery was still home with me. Our plumber woke us up way too early to tell us the tech called in sick so we had to reschedule.  It is nothing urgent, just a check which is part of the plan we have with them. Our next appointment was at 2 for our haircuts. We went out to breakfast, came home and changed the living room curtains for the third time! But our living room is even cooler now. sigh....we are happy.

The trash man came so I ran out there to put up my trash containers. Then the recycle followed. It's way TOO hot to do anything else outdoors.

I'm happy because although I currently am homebound without a car, I am grateful for the days I spend with Avery. He made green chili on Monday. The vendor we purchased them from didn't get all the seeds out so it was a messy project..They were Hatch's chilies. I think we will visit Lulu's and buy more frozen chilies until September rolls in and we can go buy them fresh and clean them ourselves.

Happy because by the end of this year we will have a new grandson. Happy for the few trips we will be able to take too.

I'm happy because the amazon driver left our packages behind the bin I have out on the front porch for salt to clear the icy walks in the winter.

Happy to be planning a shower for Hannah as they will try to come out once more before the baby is born. Rebekah has a gift for party planning and my sister-in-law Cheri is helping us too

Happy that  my son Jeremy sent me a photo of amazon boxes yesterday. hahaha Brittany my daughter-in-law who I love dearly said she has lots of gifts in those boxes. I'm so happy she is related to us.

Happy the chocolate silk pie and the banana cream abirthday pie is nearly gone. Oh the tempatation!

You know Maxine has an answer for everything in this world.

More happiness:

...the only possible good in the universe is happiness. The time to be happy is now. The place to be happy is here. The way to be happy is to try and make somebody else so. ~Robert G. Ingersoll, 1888

I've learned to be happy with what I have, and even if I lost it, I'd still be happy, because (see start of sentence.) ~Robert Brault, rbrault.blogspot.com, 2019

The best way to cheer yourself up is to try to cheer somebody else up. ~Mark Twain, 1896

There are lots of ways of being miserable, but there’s only one way of being comfortable, and that is to stop running round after happiness. If you make up your mind not to be happy there’s no reason why you shouldn’t have a fairly good time. ~Edith Wharton, "The Last Asset," in Scribner's Magazine, 1904  [Followed by, "That was Schopenhauer's idea, I believe." —tg]

Happiness is excitement that has found a settling down place, but there is always a little corner that keeps flapping around. ~E. L. Konigsburg, From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, 1967

The key to happiness? Simple really. You don't let short-term concerns ruin your life, and you don't let long-term concerns ruin your day. ~Robert Brault, rbrault.blogspot.com

Happiness is always a by-product. It never comes to those who concentrate on securing it... It always comes as a result of something else. The pursuit of noble things, the things essentially worth while... As a man goes on life's journey, with a brave heart, doing the best he can... he often hears the faint flutter of invisible wings, he feels a presence, a companion. It is Happiness. ~Chicago Herald, c. 1917

Happiness is always a by-product. It is probably a matter of temperament, and for anything I know it may be glandular. But it is not something that can be demanded from life, and if you are not happy you had better stop worrying about it and see what treasures you can pluck from your own brand of unhappiness. ~Robertson Davies (1913–1995)

All persons carry with them some means of happiness. ~James Lendall Basford (1845–1915), Sparks from the Philosopher's Stone, 1882

I don't think you can feel a sense of entitlement and still be happy. Happiness always comes from feeling that you've been blessed. ~Robert Brault, rbrault.blogspot.com

Happy Tuesday Maxine Cracks Me Up

Gillian is a seven-year-old girl who cannot sit in school. She continually gets up, gets distracted, flies with thoughts, and doesn't follow lessons. Her teachers worry about her, punish her, scold her, reward the few times that she is attentive, but nothing. Gillian does not know how to sit and cannot be attentive.
When she comes home, her mother punishes her too. So not only does she Gillian have bad grades and punishment at school, but she also suffers from them at home.
One day, Gillian's mother is called to school. The lady, sad as someone waiting for bad news, takes her hand and goes to the interview room. The teachers speak of illness, of an obvious disorder. Maybe it's hyperactivity or maybe she needs a medication.
During the interview an old teacher arrives who knows the little girl. He asks all the adults, mother and colleagues, to follow him into an adjoining room from where she can still be seen. As he leaves, he tells Gillian that they will be back soon and turns on an old radio with music.
As the girl is alone in the room, she immediately gets up and begins to move up and down chasing the music in the air with her feet and her heart. The teacher smiles as the colleagues and the mother look at him between confusion and compassion, as is often done with the old. So he says:
"See? Gillian is not sick, Gillian is a dancer!"
He recommends that her mother take her to a dance class and that her colleagues make her dance from time to time. She attends her first lesson and when she gets home she tells her mother:
"Everyone is like me, no one can sit there!"
In 1981, after a career as a dancer, opening her own dance academy and receiving international recognition for her art, Gillian Lynne became the choreographer of the musical "Cats."
Hopefully all “different” children find adults capable of welcoming them for who they are and not for what they lack.
Long live the differences, the little black sheep and the misunderstood. They are the ones who create beauty in this world.

I wanted to share the story of Gillian. A friend of mine gave me the reason behind this beautiful story and I had to share it here. My friend Becky Bailey Strong was related to Lillian Covillo . She along with Friedan Parker created so much beauty in this world, for they were the co-founders of the Colorado Ballet. These are Becky's words I am sharing here. Becky said she will never forget them saying ..." Children were not created to sit inside of a house in front of the TV. That only creates boredom. Children were created to dance their passions in life. : Becky had shared this story with me a few years ago and she does not participate at FaceBook much these days. For whatever reason she opened FB and saw that I shared this story again. I find it incredibly beautiful. I hope you did too.

HAPPY TUESDAY!

" You gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth." William W. Purkey

"And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane.
by those who could not hear the music." Friedrich Nietzsche

Happy Tuesday and Maxine Cracks Me Up

Happy Tuesday Happiness is always warm and welcoming. Grateful to share here.

A favorite Pinterest find. Tea and a good book. Yes, please!

A wonderful tea room closed permanently due to  2020. Jeanette was a wonderful owner and she made all of the goodies herself. I was broken hearted when I found out it was closed forever. Too many overpriced tea shops/houses/room. Some places it is all about the cash flow. Other places mix alcohol with tea and that is not a proper tea time.  sigh...

Maxine is right on on this one!

A Pinterest find on tea and poetry.

A favorite cup of tea, London Fog Tea. My old friend Earl Grey, my faithful frother, and a tall tea cup. Earl came over from England so I could have some of my favorite tea.  S M I L E

HAPPY TUESDAY

 Happy Tuesday

Leo and Stella can always make me smile and this older photo is a favorite. Leo still thinks he is going to catch more rabbits. They sit in the cold waiting to bait him. He always looks so defeated.  Stella just enjoys her days lying around and keeping Jeremy company while he works. These two can make you very happy with their personalities.

Maxine seems extra snarky today.

Happy Tuesday

Happy Tuesday

Being shell-shocked by people speaking without thinking.  It sometimes feels hard to find happiness. But my home is my happy place. I will start there.

Theses little Scripture verses are very important to me. But the Joshua 24:15 "as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." is something I read daily because I Mean it when I say I will serve the Lord.

I met a blogger who I have followed but rarely commented at her blog. Not physically but we felt the same way on some things and she told me she would pray for my friends little girls.

Ollie and Edie are Down's Syndrome girls. Due to their DS they can not take the jab. But at school their teacher is very unaccomodating and it is  frustrating for the parents and a nightmare for these girls. One has a heart condition, so she should not be forced into wearing a mask all day long. The little one was born in a different country and she already has speech issues  Plus she is super quiet and becomes very frustrated when the teacher can not understand or hear her with the mask on.  I won't comment on the teacher, but ask for prayer for all three of them.Children should be happy and not forced into demands of the world. Unless you understand that, your treatment of them is not very kind or considerate. These girls should be happy. I was a very happy child, but times were not stressful and I went to a school where the children stuck together in difficulties. We never let anyone fall through the cracks because we were raised better. We did not bully each other and we learned wisely from the way we were raised up. Prayers for these precious girls and their teacher is graciously asked by their parents.

Happiness is a cat who has no worries

I love all the things I have that are in arms reach and I enjoy the solitude of my home when everyone else is working. My greatest frustration is rounding up dogs to come inside when the 90 temps are baking the ground we walk on.

I love reading the weather predictions from the Old Farmers Almanac. They predict a huge blizzard for Colorado in the third week of January 2022. One of the local news channels said it is a big joke. They must live in a hole somewhere because the Farmers Almanac is right on for so many of their predictions. These are the same people who can't prediction the weather properly on any given day. I will trust a farmer any day over a weather person!

And on the eighth day, God looked down on his planned paradise and said, “I need a caretaker.” So God made a farmer. God said, “I need somebody willing to get up before dawn, milk cows, work all day in the fields, milk cows again, eat supper, then go to town and stay past midnight at a meeting of the school board.” So God made a farmer.
God said, “I need somebody willing to sit up all night with a newborn colt and watch it die, and dry his eyes and say, ‘Maybe next year.’ I need somebody who can shape an ax handle from a persimmon sprout, shoe a horse with a hunk of car tire, who can make harness out of haywire, feed sacks, and shoe scraps. Who planting time and harvest season will finish his 40-hour week by Tuesday noon and then, painin ’from tractor back, put in another 72 hours.” So God made a farmer.
God said, “I need somebody strong enough to clear trees and heave bales, yet gentle enough to yean lambs and wean pigs and tend the pink-combed pullets, who will stop his mower for an hour to splint the broken leg of a meadow lark.” So God made a farmer.
It had to be somebody who’d plow deep and straight and not cut corners. Somebody to seed, weed, feed, breed, and brake, and disk, and plow, and plant, and tie the fleece and strain the milk. Somebody who’d bale a family together with the soft, strong bonds of sharing. Who would laugh, and then sigh, and then reply with smiling eyes, when his son says that he wants to spend his life doing what dad does.
 So God made a farmer.

Maxine always has an opinion. This one is true.

Happiness is home

Happiness is Prayer

Happiness is The Old Farmer's Almanac

Happiness is Farmers

Happy Tuesday and Tuesday Show and Tails

Comedy-Plus.com shares Happy Tuesday with us and I always remember the fun days of posting with Angela V. at Tuesday Show and Tails.
Oh Maxine......
This was a Cheech Marin post! Even an old stoner knows common sense isn't a free handout or even something you can buy. We need the patience of Job times ten million to muddle through social media nonsense. This humor was spot on.
At social media someone attacked my granddaughter-in-law about why they have a go fund me account. Well she did not set it up. A very sweet lady who has a son who attends school with Jayden, their oldest boy did! The hatred is out of control. Instead of judging others get your soul in order. Stuff is happening quickly here in the USA. I am grateful to all who have donated to their fund. If you know anything about insurance, you will realize it is not free, it will leave you with a balance and having a child with medical in house bills since July 2019....need I say more? I prefer people to P R A Y for this sweet phamily. Thanks.
This boy is a warrior! He fights like heck for his right to breathe.
Greed and medicine do not mix. Yet is it everywhere. Enough said. I am late posting this. I had to rethink my thoughts. People are mean, please be kind.

Tuesday Show and Tail

This baby sloth looks so peaceful napping.  What a perfect share for  Tuesday memories of Angela's Tuesday Show and Tail. This photo made me happy so I thought perhaps Happy Tuesday would enjoy seeing this sleeping sweetheart.
Oh Maxine, I agree with you! But don't talk to yourself about politics because someone is sure to jump out and start arguing with you! It is nice to get away to some real peace and quiet.
Humor to make you smile.
