Aw...Mondays and More
Sandee hosts Aw.....Mondays each week. I hope you stop by and say hello. Stop in with Blue Monday too and show them your blues.
Leo takes important duties very seriously. Although Rebekah graced his neck with a beautiful blue kerchief from Harrison's second birthday party, Leo knew I was serious, when asking him to stand guard over the venerable phamily icon, Bandit.
Leo wasn't going to let anyone into Nick's room, where the grand Mister Bandito was resting comfortable. Last night, Bandit gave everyone a terrible scare. He is quite elderly, as you know, and blind in one eye, but his little Vulcan sharp ears and his strong bark can scare off anyone who does not know him well. His back legs were not working at 100 percent. He gave Jeremy and his little phamily quite a scare. They are waiting for baby Brody to make his appearance, Brittany is feeling a bit under the weather and Jeremy is busy with his work at his at home office. We all rushed over to help out and hearing our voices and feeling our touch helped Mister Bandit to get a bit better. He will get a good check over by his vet tomorrow.
Animals have a way of loving us that often humans do not even understand.
Leo and Stella often double as guardians for Harrison when he visits me. They know how precious he is. Stella is currently preparing for the arrival of the new baby and she is always posted outside his nursery making sure no one gets in or out under her watchful eyes.
A Happy Valentine's Day wish to everyone. As you can see, I am still writing my draft from Monday. I do not know where the days go!
I thought this was a sweet share. We don't try to fight the crowds on Valentine's Day. We will enjoy a quiet dinner on a different night.
Annie shares all the good things we should all be sharing. I like it at Annie's place.

We should have a new grandbaby by this weekend. Waiting patiently to meet Brody Edward. Hurry, hurry little one, many are waiting with open arms to love and cherish you.
This fellow is patiently waiting for the little one too. The vet confirmed he had a stroke but could not believe that he was up and walking around. we know he is quite old and he may not be here forever, although we all would love to have our favorite furry friends with us during our lifetime. But he loves Jeremy and we remind him that baby will be here shortly. I think he wants to meet mini Jeremy.
Love is...will always brighten my day.
I think Maxine needs a little love, how about you?
John 14:2 I was thinking of this verse today and had to share it here.

Memorial Day Remembered
The price of freedom is not free. Many brave men and women gave their lives so we may continue to live in a free nation. I am sharing a few lists of lives lost in many wars.
Let's remember those who gave their all for us. My Tata Rose was blessed to have her husband John return from WWI. My uncles, Edward "Munson" Trontel, Thomas P. Binder and my hubby's uncle, Bud, Duane and Virgil Blackwell all returned from WWII. My grandmother's cousin Frances Marijanovic lost her only son Bruce in WWII, My late father-in-law Carl T. Robinson U.S. Navy WWII . My sisters former husband and the father of my two nieces Karla and Holly, Robert L. Hoffert returned from Vietnam as well as my cousin Joanne's former husband and the father of her two daughters, Kristi and Laura "Sissy" Hoskins returned. Thank you Jesse Hoskins for your service. R.I.P. to all who never returned including James Turner, the only son of my mom's cousin Hedwig Marold Turner. He perished in Vietnam.Thank you to my hubby's cousin, Carolynn who left her husband and young children back home to serve in Desert Storm. she is a registered nurse. My friends Kathleen P. O'Gane ,her sister Marlene and their late brother Michael and Joseph Brown all served in the U.S. Navy who served. Joseph served i Vietnam and Desert Storm.
The words to a popular song during the Vietnam War. Sadly the Staff Sergeant Barry Sadler, who wrote and performed this song, ended up in a psychiatric hospital and later committed suicide. we never know the true horrors of war or what these brave men and women experienced.

Black Friday Thoughts : What Shall We Give The Children
What shall we give the children?
Christmas is almost here.
Toys and games and playthings,
as we do every year?
What shall will give the children?
Yes, for the magic of Toyland
is part of the yuletide lore.
to gladden the heart of childhood,
But I shall give something more,
a more sympathetic ear,
a little more time for laughter,
or tenderly dry a tear...
I shall take time to teach them
the joy of doing some task.
I'll try to find some time to answer
more of the questions they ask.
and take long walks in the sun.
Time for a bedtime story
after the day is done.
I shall give these to my children,
weaving a closer tie,
knitting our lives together,
with gifts that money can't buy.

Happy Halloween and Lots of Fun
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! If you are heading out this evening please be safe and share your candy stash too! We have lots of candy to hand out so we are hopeful lots of little ones with ring our bell. The hubby took four bags of candy to his office. The inner city kids trick or treat at his office and those little ones will have a bounty of candy! The firm he works at has nine floors.
These kittens are picture purr-fect! Please be wise, give your feline a long life and spayed or neuter them.
A wagon filled with tiny dashchunds. Make sure you properly care for these little ones too by spayed and neutering them and loving them unconditionally. I shared some Precious Moment figurines for Sandee and those sharing with her at Aw...Mondays today! enjoy those furry friends. I am hoping Jeanne will look at the pretty blues over here today too.
Love is...always warms my heart and makes me grateful for the life I live. This is cute because we know the colder weather is coming and I like snuggling under those warm covers.
Maxine really is spot on here! I am constantly sweeping with a broom because the kitties can be so messy with their food and litter. That poor dog! Maxine should get a date with Gargamel from the Smurfs. He is not very nice to that poor cat Esmeral!
I like sharing my Scriptures that I read each day. Lots to pray about especially the upcoming election.
Enjoy a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by.

My nieces, Karla and Holly, who lost their dad Bob Hoffert last February 2014, often speak of his time in Vietnam. They always say they will never know the demons that tortured him.
My uncle Tom Binder was in the Army Air Corp. Uncle Edward "Munson" Trontel was an Army man. My Uncle Sam Cosimano served in the U.S. Army as does his youngest daughter Juliane's son Julian. Please pray for Julian during these troubling times in our world as well as all Vets. My hubby's cousin Carolyn served as a nurse in Desert Storm leaving her husband and children stateside while she served our country. His Uncle Virgil was a pilot during WWII.
Please share any of our BoJon relatives here too with me. I am honored to honor our Veterans.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields
John McCray May, 1915
My Tata Rose sent her husband off to war in the first World War. Did you know all the Pechek men, six of them, served in various military service and they returned home. Brother Inky was at the Death March in Bataan in April 1942. He was there along with "Tiddles" Mramor and his brother Felix. Tiddles passed away nearing his 100th birthday and always told me, "War, is a terrible thing." His brother could never get past the horrors of it all and took his own life when he returned home.
While you are here, leave that comment so you are entered in my giveaway ending November 29th. Thank you

More Wedding Tales/My BoJon Heritage/Baseball/Holidays
Carrie, my niece shared this with Noelle who shared it with me. Today is the wedding anniversary of John and Carrie. Weren't they a cute couple? Then there is my mom. Gosh, she was such a fashion plate. Always decked out in her wedding finest. I miss her so much. She was a wonderful woman, a terrific mom, great wife and grandma and there was no one she could not carry a conversation with .
How about a pretty pink sky to share this wedding post with? I took this last week at the RTD station where I leave my honey each morning during the work week. God paints a beautiful portrait. He is always giving us such treasures to remind us He is watching over us.
I like that this sky is similar to the photo I took yet it is so different. I love looking up into the sky at night and in the early morning.
This young BoJon pitcher is pitching in the World Series. Luke Hochevar is the son of Brian. Luke's dad grew up on the 1200 block of Mahren in Pueblo's BoJon Town, (Colorado). He was a good baseball player and his son is an excellent pitcher. It is nice to see successful BoJon's in the world.
There are three things in my life which I really love: God, my family, and baseball. The only problem - once baseball season starts, I change the order around a bit. ~Al Gallagher, 1971
Did you know this fact about the late Yogi Berra? He wore number 8 throughout his career and when he lost his wife in 2014 their home sold for $888,000.00. Coincidence?
Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball. ~Jim Murray
This is an absolute favorite photo of mine, It is my very beautiful grandmother Cecilia Kralj Steblay and two of her children, her sons, Louis (hat in his hand) and Tony (baby). I remember my Uncle Louie telling me that his little brother was so small and weak that grandma had to give him goat's milk and he perked right up. Uncle Louie also told me he loved that big hat and wore it everywhere he went. Gosh, the memories of this BoJon Phamily makes me smile. I was raised in the best phamily by the best parents and had the greatest grandparents and relatives a girl could ever have.
This was a Halloween I co hosted with a long ago friend Camille (Miss Piggy). It was 1979 and my childhood friend Lynette was a clown while Camille's niece Mary was dressed up with an evening gown, hat and long gloves.
I was Kermit the Frog and Patti Hegge was a big baby. Gosh, except for Lynette , I have not seen those other gals in forever.
Leave it to Maxine to make us laugh.
Some people go all out for Halloween.
I would make "Witch Hats" for the kids and Graveyard Pudding
I miss those days too. I hope you enjoyed this post.
Until next time:
