Thankful Thursday

 Thankful Thursday

I read this somewhere : Impossible is God's starting point

We are living in uncertain times but I am continuing to trust the One who knows all, sees all and will care for all who choose to believe. I am very thankful for my faith.

Let the heavens be glad,

and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar,

and all that fills it.

Let the field exult, and

everything in it! Then shall

all the trees of the forest

sing for joy before the Lord, for He comes,

for He comes to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness,

and the people in His faithfulness.

Psalm 96:11-13

Thankful that I can read and know these words help comfort me in trying times.

I am praying for Hawaii, all the loss of life, because no matter what

material things we have, somehow we are able to replace many of them.

Lives we can not replace. Thankful for all who are reaching out to help.

Jack Johnson a singer/songwriter is a Native. He held a concert in

his backyard in Oahu to benefit those in the fire. His music is always so

cheerful and makes people happy. His kindness is needed and for him I am

thankful.

A Banyan tree in Hawaii.

Today I am very thankful that next week we are having a little getaway and that makes me happy. A few days to rest and relax and recharge. We are thankful for Nick's job that allows him and his parents to get some great deals on flying so it will also be helpful when Hannah and Jake get ready for the baby.

A Thankful Thursday image to share. Thank you google.

Pink Saturday

Pink Saturday I love learning something new each day. I belong to a group at social media where people share A View From Their Window. Someone in Australia had a photo of  two pink Galahs sitting on a fence. Although this is a google image I thought it was perfect for Pink Saturday and the first day of our new year.

We spent New Year's Eve, just like Princess Sassy Pants.   At home quietly. I made it to midnight but my husband did not. He was sound asleep. We had spent two hours earlier facetiming with our girl Hannah in Western NY.  Her husband Jake was working some extra hours so she was entertaining us with Franklin, their little rescue dog, and Casper and Oreo the two feral cats that have adopted Hannah and Jake and Franklin. The bigger cat, Casper, he loves to tug on Franklins leash.  But all in all the three of them seem to get along better. Wishing everyone a wonderful new year filled with many blessings, good things and happiness. Let us start fresh with a clean slate and see where it takes us.

Please pray for those who lost everything in the Marshall Fire 2021, in Boulder County Colorado.

Thankful Thursday

https://www.gofundme.com/f/little-logan-medical-fund…

I don't usually post go fund on my blog but this is phamily and this is tiny Logan.  I am thankful they were able to move him to the Pulmonary ward. He has had such a struggle. In and out of the hospital this round since before Christmas. Going home on Christmas Day only to be sent back a few days later. The medical bills for him are insane. So if you can help, even a few dollars, whatever you can do, please donate. Otherwise please pray. He seems to be getting stronger . He is a true warrior. He fights for every breath but he seems to be getting much better. Without specialists who know what is going on and especially because they specialize in Pediatrics his care has been excellent. Thank you for listening.
Grammie Noelle took this photo today when she visited him. He sure loves that mommy. He is such a sweet baby.  The three brothers would like to see him come home and stay home. Thank you for thinking of this little guy and praying too. thankful all the kind hearts here and thankful for Logan and his brother.
Praying for little ones will always come back full circle. No matter what life throws at them they will come back to what they know is good, decent and right. Please visit Thankful Thursday

Wordless Wednesday

It is very hard for me to be wordless. Me and Tea have a long time friendship. This kitten is sweet and I had to share. Stop by Sandee's and say hello.
This new year is starting out with another sadness. My dear friend Suzanne lost her precious husband Steve unexpectedly. I am broken, my heart hurts for her. Please pray for her and her phamily as they go through this heartbreaking journey, Suzanne use to have the blog Colorado Lady and I was sad when she stopped blogging, because, you know, life happens.  But we remained friends and long ago,  I was blessed to meet her and her aunt Lavoice. It was a wonderful time and Suzanne and LV were wonderful friends. This summer when we lost the precious great grand Alastor Avery, Suzanne was an amazing friend. She said she was broken hearted for us and she was patiently waiting for her first born grandchild to be born. She was such a genuine friend. Recently she told me, not a day goes by that she doesn't think of us and pray for us. Please keep her close to your heart while she navigates this new road in her life's journey. It will be difficult, I only know this, because I saw the sadness in my own mother's eyes when we lost my father. It is a difficult, death. We never know when it will come for us. I always want to be ready but I feel frightened and I do not know how people do it, losing such a love of their life, without hitting brick walls. My mother would tell me to pray, so I will. Thank you.

Aw....Mondays and Much More

Hi Aw....Mondays I thought this was too cute not to share. Have a terrific week.
You know, Love is... always makes me smile.
A little bit of Blue Monday with my sky shot from the 25th of July. I had Sally on my mind and she never failed to amaze me with her blues when she hosted long before the Lord took her home to be with Him. Miss you sweet friend and this sky reminded me of you.
Loretta is the cousin of a high school friend of mine. I never knew someone could make you laugh out loud on a daily basis. She is a crack up on  twenty four hour alert. Tree stalker! Ha Ha Ha!
Loretta is a real person. No phoniness about her. Plus she served in the military. So I admire her crazy antics and her honor to our nation and it's people. I also do not advocate smoking but this was so good not to share.
A sweet memory. My hubby was dear friends with Pastor Ed Pettit. He baptized two of our daughters, this is Rebekah (1988). Pastor was at Saint Theresa Catholic Church in Pueblo back than. It is funny because Avery was raised in the Nazarene church but he and the pastor had a good friend who ran a Mexican restaurant and they would sit and talk for hours on end. He was a kind person and he loved his faith and did not believe in all the rules and regulations churches are so inclined to have. He believed in putting Jesus first. When our oldest son was baptized, at the church, the younger priest who thought he was running the big show. He hassled us about the baptism. My entire phamily had driven from Pueblo to come to attend this ceremony. Pastor Pettit wrote the parish priest a letter and said if even a handful of churchgoers there had the faith we had he would be lucky to have us at his church! The church sent us two copies of Jeremy's baptismal certificate. Pastor moved to Saint Patrick's church also in Pueblo by the time Hannah was born and he did the honors a second time. When Nick came along the kids were attending Assumption School in Denver so Pastor Bob Anderson baptized Nick. He left the church in the US to become a missionary in Rwanda at the height of the civil war there. I often think of his kind heart too. Although we had a simple wedding ceremony and were married by a pastor in Denver I always regretted not knowing that Pastor Pettit would have married us in a late night ceremony and than required us to treat him to breakfast! Ha Ha Ha! He stood for God Almighty and not man made traditions.
Birthday wishes for my birthday boy last Tuesday! I was doing my Dress Up Challenge and he faithfully takes my photos every day.
When your girls love you bunches!

Happy Tuesday and Tuesday Show and Tail

We have snow! After torrential rains all day long on Monday this happened.
I think Elsa is stubborn...
I am a life long native of Colorado. This is what I did this morning after pushing a heavy snow off my car so I could go to the store.
Gee even when you are polite, they don't listen!
In the lower left corner I took the first photo last week while this bush in our yard began to bloom. This morning, it looks like this. The snow was very heavy. The lower right hand corner says Hey Elsa, the rest of us are C O L D !
Leo said thanks, but no thanks, I like the view from indoors. We have a freeze warning until 8 o'clock this evening. Brrrr......Tuesday Show and Tail
This is a google image from Pioneer Park in Fairbanks, Alaska. My high school friend lives near there and she is anticipating 70 degree temps and lots of blooms on her flowers. All in all it has been a Happy Tuesday Join Sandee and friends for some happiness.

PINK SATURDAY

Pink hair, don't care! Her hair is beautiful. I am a huge fan of pink. Particularly in clothing and lip colors.
Molly Ringwald was "Pretty in Pink". The movie was quite sweet and she designed her own prom dress. She was perfect for the part.

The country singer Kacey Musgraves has a perfectly pink living room.
Marilyn Monroe looked pretty in pink.
Everything looks good in pink!

This beautiful pink bouquet comes from a florist in Boston, MA.
Stop by Pink Saturday and share your pink goodness.
