Feline Friday Friendly Fill- Ins and Pink Saturday
Carl is a dare devil kitty. These two do not want him to lose his ninth life! Stop by Feline Friday and send some feline fun our way. I found some great google images today to share with everyone.
This was me today but I did it anyway. But this one looks like my lazy bones kitty Mister Kitty. If you flip on the lights and he's asleep he will throw you some serious shade. HaHaHa
Cats look for mischief. HaHaHa. Earlier I had about 5 oz. of Hawaiian Punch I wanted to drink. But my little juice glass was only four oz. So I poured part of it into my glass. I was writing out a card when suddenly it sounded like gunfire! Oh Mister Kitty jumped a foot high on the bed. HaHaHa but so did I! I went to finish pouring the punch in my glass when I noticed the plastic jug made that crazy noise. We are wide awake and plan to stay that way! It is a gorgeous sunny day. Just in time for snow on Easter SONday. But living in Colorado we are use to anything the weather throws our way.
Each Thursday Ellen of and Lorianne provide friendly fill-in questions. Ellen suggested the first two and Lorianne and the other two. If you have any questions, please contact these lovely ladies.
1. I am never ______________.
2. For Easter (or Passover) I will______________.
3. I would want the Easter Bunny to leave me a basket filled with ____________.
4. When times get tough, ____________.
My answers are here:
1. I am never at a loss for words or kindness.
2. For Easter (or Passover) I will celebrate quietly at home with my hubby, our daughter, her husband and our son.
3. I would want the Easter Bunny to leave me a basket filled with delectable bakery cream puffs and some hard to find items like toilet paper and hand sanitizer. I wouldn't be mad if he left a gift card either. (wink wink)
4. When times get tough, I pray even harder and try hard not to discouraged but to jump in and do all I can to help myself and others.
Beverly has hosted Pink Saturday for so many years I am not sure how longer it has been. I will be blogging for 11 years come November 1, 2020 so that long for certain. I am sad that so many left for social media and do not blog any longer. She has a different crowd these days but still the faithful "Pinkies" still stop by. Please do.
I am not sure we have enough eggs to color this year. Kind of sad. But somehow we will manage. We are all grateful our health is still good.
My friend Sharon sends me these peeps every year since I met her in 1987. The color varies every year.
I still love Easter candy but these days I prefer Reese's peanut butter eggs and Cabury crispy eggs. Do you still love Easter candy?
Good Friday. As a child I spent every Good Friday at church because I attended Catholic School. Aside from coloring eggs with my phamily on Good Friday we were not allowed to watch TV r turn on a radio. It was just how mom handles us and we were better people for it. Today I see grumbles about been locked down. Is it fun? No of course not. But if we pay attention and stay safe perhaps we will all be free soon. One of my neighbors was sitting on her front porch while her daughter was swinging on the tree swing. But there she was glued to her phone, obliviously to what was going on with her child. Some of us with learn lessons. Others I am afraid will never change.
We attended a church service every Holy Saturday too. The priest would bless all the baskets filled with delicious sLOVEnian foods including potica, kolabasi, ham, colorful hard boiled eggs, rolls and even horseradish. I really miss that tradition. My mother made potica like no other. She never was chintzy on the filling and we all loved her hard work to create such goodness for all of us. Everything filled inside that basket my mom prepared without ever being tempted to nibble on anything. She was an amazing woman.
I hope no matter how you celebrate whether it is Easter or Passover or if you simply surround yourself with those you love best, I hope your Easter is filled with much happiness, good health and beautiful memories.

R O S E
This was a favorite photo of Rose. Sitting on the cable receiver, keeping warm. She was a unique feline. Nick begged us to let him get her when he was a child, 5th grade. She saw him through his running years 2005-2017. He was a good keeper of this girl. She was ill once long ago, a UTI, I made a promise to him while he was away at college to not let anything happen to this girl. I kept that promise. She was diagnosed with kidney disease two years ago. Rose kept keeping on. Than she started to fail. About a week ago I awoke to a cat cry. I ran around my house in the middle of the night searching for her. I Had to wake the hubby and we found her, behind the refrigerator . Let me tell you, she scared us terribly but she was getting a bit senile. We pulled the fridge out and she came to us.
Rose was always ladylike but if you messed with her, she would take you down. If Mister Kitty could talk, I am sure he'd tell you about his wounds she inflicted on him when he thought he could take her on.
Her green eyes would pull you into her private world. She was kind, The day my boy Boots went to the Rainbow Bridge , on her birthday of all days, she was there to make sure he looked his very best as he took that walk to the other side. She groomed him so carefully, it touches my heart to this very day. I will never forget her kindness toward him in his last hours on this earth.

Rest Easy Chicken Wrangler, We will all miss you so very much.
My friend Angela lost her beautiful canine Jazz on the 11th. We consoled each other over the airwaves. She said Jazz loved nothing more than to chase the cats that came onto our property. I bet, Anne, she is chasing Rose across heaven. comforting words to make me smile. Run free Rose you are enjoying a pain free world today.

Feline Friday
Junk Food Kitty, Mr. Kitty! Stop by and visit Feline Friday This cat is always looking for food but seriously, we do not feed him junk food!
Friendly fill ins and Friendly Fill Ins:
1. I joined ________in________.
2. I wish I'd asked ________about_______.
3. _________had the biggest impression on who I am today.
4. _________is the most beautiful place I have ever been.
Thank you to Ellen and Lorianne for hosting and thinking up these questions. My answers are here:
1. I joined the world in the year 1953.
2. I wish I'd asked more about my ancestry when my folks were still alive.
3. My childhood and neighborhood and heritage had the biggest impression on who I am today.
4. Pikes Peak is the most beautiful place I have ever been.
Steven Spielberg was a collaborated on this cartoon about two lab mice who pursued world domination. But somehow along the way they unwittingly sabotage their own plans. Sounds to me like our political world today. But wanted to give a twist to my share for Pink Saturday
I am at an age where everything I think about, I think about God first. In Matthew 22:21 Jesus told the Pharisees render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's. We aren't going to leave this world with any worldly possessions so it is always good food for thought.
I strive to be like my folks. They were hard working, humble and faithful servants. I miss them so much.
Love them and miss them always.
Jeremy and Thing One (from Dr. Suess).
This boy is so kind. He loves that baby brother so much.
Baby has to have the bili blanket. He is Thing Two ! Such a good boy.
Together to see the doctors about the bili rubin levels.
A boy and his momma. Moving forward each day. He is one amazing baby boy.

Feline Friday and Pink Saturday
My boy Boots was the most amazing feline friend you could find, He always stayed close to me when I suffered with debilitating migraines. He never left me. I wonder if he was an angel sent to me in feline form. I miss him so very much. He was a true one of a kind. Stop by Feline Friday and join the fun.
Waiting, waiting, waiting. I suppose if he wanted to debate pink and blue colors the new Robinson baby boy could care less. He is simply biding his time. No rush to be born. I am certain he is the younger sibling of Brody. That boy debated his coming into this world for a while too. We just all want to see the new little fellow. Hurry baby hurry.
While he is deciding the date of his birth you can visit Anything Goes Pink Saturday

Feline Friday with Fun and Pink Goodness
Two cats are better than one when it's bath time! Say hello to Feline Friday
This applies to toddlers too!
I wish this was a photo I took but google images are beautiful too. Pastel Pink is perfect for Pink Saturday
Perfectly pink clouds floating by. Thanks google images.
Oh laundry, seven days a week! But I do it cheerfully. I just wonder, is someone recycling my clean laundry back into the dirty laundry hamper? Hmmmm........
A verse I need to hang in my laundry room.
Nathan Solano a local Pueblo artist recreated this baseball photo. Uncle Moon, dad's older brother is on the far right. Dad is the third guy from his brother. I see his catchers mitt.
I hope your weekend is glorious.

BASEBALL IS BACK
Even Love is...loves baseball! It is good to see baseball back! Our Colorado Rockies don't look too bad! First game, opening season, in Florida with the Marlins was Thursday, March 28th. They won it! They won the second game as well. But the other two games, not so great. Oh well, lots more to play.
Wouldn't be baseball season without sharing my dad. He was so young and handsome in his baseball uniform. I would love to sit down and share a game with him today.
I love going to the ballpark. But as a child, we walked to the Runyon Field ball park from my grandmothers home just a quick walk across the road.
Runyon Field looks different from my childhood. The fence around it was different and when Uncle Louie was busy with a project he would send us to Runyon Field and tell us to find baseballs that went out of the complex. He'd give us money when we collected those baseballs but he also let us keep them. We loved playing baseball in those days.Things have changed at Runyon Field but my love of baseball has not.
I have talked about my dad catching behind the plate when the great Bambino, the Sultan of Swat, the Babe was up to bat. After some research I found out the year was 1938. My dad was in his 20's. This is a google image of the Babe. He sure looks different from the bulked up players of today and he did not make the type of money these players demand today. Very few could play in the days of greats like the Babe, Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio and even Pete Rose and Dave Winfield. I know Rich "Goose" Gossage would say most pitchers could not keep up with the likes of guys like like Ron Guidry, Noland Ryan and Catfish Hunter.
I love this verse and really am standing on it today.
Another great : Harmon Killebrew. This is my second favorite baseball quote.
Joltin Joe DiMaggio, The Yankee Clipper. First class human being, excellent gentleman. First rate ball player who was blessed not only to play in the majors but had two brothers who also played.
Please visit Feline Friday Mr. Cat is loving baseball today. what's not to love? The Rockie's open their home season today at 2:10 P.M. (DST).
I hope your day is blessed and beautiful.
