Feline Friday and Anniversary Joy

 Feline Friday

I will always miss my Boots. He was a BFF (Best Feline Friend).  I hope you visit Sandee and wish her a fabulous cruise for their anniversary.  Join the fun too.

Brittany and Jeremy celebrate five years of marriage on April 30th. It was a picture perfect day, snow and all. Stop by Pink Saturday

Jeremy received the very best bonus when he married Brittany. Addy was just a small girl. Today she is a cool teen. These two get along well.

Robinson pham when Blake was just a tiny tiny boy. Memories are the best. We store them inside our hearts. So happy for these kids. They have been in their new place a short while and it looks terrific. They have so much room.  They both work so hard so it is good to see them reap some good benefits. Wishing them a Happy Anniversary today and always.  Photo by Jessica Montoya Phtography.

Thankful Thursday

 Thankful Thursday

This is Lulu on this date in 2018. She was so tiny.  I am always thankful that I made the decision to bring her home with me.  She is still a little love bug and a good mom, though that was unexpected. Now she is older and content with her two babies living with her. Mollie was born first but she is still so tiny. Finn was born 5 hours later and he is a big boy but also so gentle and sweet. Mollie is very much like her mom. A hungry, hungry pup.  I am happy they live here and enjoy a good life.

Here is my girl with Thor and Loki in 2018. They were so small. So thankful for them.

Rebekah should be a dog photographer. She captures the best photos and this is 2021. Still all best friends. Very thankful.

This is true of good canine and feline fur babies. Always thankful .

Happy Tuesday and Maxine Cracks Me Up

Someone set up housekeeping and a nursery on Hannah and Jake's backporch. Aren't those eggs so beautiful? I figured they would be perfect for Happy Tuesday Are you a fan of birds? I have always been amazed at their ability to create such lovely nests for their young.

I have never seen Maxine flip out like this! She is one tough chick.

On Friday Nick wanted a couple donuts. I was not about to sit in the driver thru with ten cars ahead of me for two donuts! So I bought his favorites and hs dad's too. Unfortunaterly, for me, I ended up eating two of the filled donuts. I usually do not eat them but they were fresh.

Oh Loretta, I get her humor. I have seen people in grocery stores with pets that are no more a support pet then I am! So many truly needy folks are on waiting lists to get an Emotional Therapy dog.   Whoever decided it is ok to consider your pet as a support animal was out of their mind. I saw a man in the store with a very angry and agressive dog and when the clerk asked for his certificate for the dog he laughed at her. I was really fearful because the dog was huge and very angry. I suppose when someone gets hurt and stores are sued they might change their mind about some of these things. I prefer Loretta's emotional support chicken with a biscuit. That sounds really yummy.

Have a great week and get your rest! Take care.

This cute lil house sits on Main Street in Lamar, Colorado. We were going to visit the farm at Holly in 2019 and I forgot to snap a new photo and update this one from 2010. The cutest lil white house with pink trim. I love this so much. Please visit  Pink Saturday

I always dreamed of owning my Tata Rose's little cottage and painting it pink. There were so many memories for me there as a child.  Her house is in my header at my blog My Tata's Cottage.

Thankful Thursday

Avery Bear is watching over Mister Kitty as he rested near the Love pillow and the burlap pillow , which he loves that says Just remember, as far as anyone knows, we are just a nice, nornaml family. HaHaHa....

My big boy was resting because it was snowing outside and it was in the 20's. We both enjoyed some luxury time lounging about. I told him, he wasn't the only one who knew how to take a nap. Thankful for such a feline friend to rest with.

I found some beautiful strawberries at the store and a small angel food cake.  Fresh Strawberry shortcake was served for dessert. Someday I will master the angel food cake. My mother-in-law Rita could make an angel food cake as light as a feather and delicious. Auntie Ang also whipped up angel food cakes like a dream too. But she was very decadent. She cut her angel food cake in half and smothered the between layer with chocolate mousse. Sigh... Thankful those amazing ladies were in my life.

Since it was so cold, Rebekah already made BLT's for dinner Monday night. She baked two mini and two large loaves of French bread. Avery and I made a batch of Potato Cheese Soup Tuesday evening. We had it tonight too. Thankful for these comfort foods and cozy meals.

I hope you will enjoy your night, rest well and have a pleasant Thursday with lots of sunshine. I pray for it everyday.

Aw...Mondays and More

If Leo could catch the squirrel he would! In his younger day, he gave many of them, a run for their lives! This was too cute not to share with Aw...Mondays.

One day at a time...Love is... they make me smile everyday.

We missed Brody and Blake on Saturday. We watched Shea for her dad, who is going to truck driving school. We had such a fun time.  She and I sat in the car while Grandfather ran a few errands. We had fun making these funny faces at each other. She loves some of the same music her brother Harrison loved too. We listened to John Mayer and the Monkees, Celine Dion singing lullabyes in French and of course, some wonderful songs about Jesus.

Pray tomorrow that Denver's snow storm will prevent  the violent protesters from an  attack on the city where my husband works. His office has already made  arrangements to close early because of the violence. I am going to be praying. I  believe God loves all of us and there is not one race of people He loves more than the rest.  He loves all of His children, every one of them. Many cities are  having good weather  so there will be violence and as a result of all the violence, nothing will change. It never does.

52 Then Jesus *said to him, “Put your sword back into its place; for all those who take up the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Or do you think that I cannot appeal to My Father, and He will at once put at My disposal more than twelve [a]legions of angels? 54 How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled, which say that it must happen this way?”

Backward: Feline Friday and Friendly Fill In's

A snowstorm yesterday put me out of  sorts. My neighbor stopped by, saying our tree was again touching the power line and possibly causing problems. Still waiting to hear from the  power company. We did what we could without touching that live line but it is sad that service is nonexistent anymore. I know many trees were broken and falling yesterday . Fortunately Kristy, our neighbor has a pole saw with the rubber grounding so she will help us once the snow melts away.

We also had the solar people here Thursday. Of course, the big storm yesterday hindered the completion of the rewiring of the electrical work. Murphy's Law....it never tells a fib!

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:17-18)

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:7-8)

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9:9-10)

Murphy might be right but God never fails me.

Please join  Feline Friday even though I am running so late. I feel exactly like this feline. Life is hard, my mother would tell me, PRAY harder! When days are difficult I sure miss my mom.

Ellen and Lorianne co host this blog hop. I am just skipping to my fill in's today since I am so late. Thanks ladies, you always do a great job of sharing your thoughts here with us.

My answers:

1. I wish I knew how to play Solitaire. My mother and my auntie Ang sat opposite each other and spent many evenings playing Solitaire together. I would love to have a buddy to play with like they did.

2. If offered a free trip to space I would decline. I am not a fan of confined spaces . Claustrophobia hit me hard after my first neurosurgery.

3. Being with my loved ones is the most exciting thing in my life right now.

4. I could give a long lecture on the topic of  " I will pass on this one". I like my life exactly the way it is. I don't need any validation from others on things I know . Too many differences of opinions in this world. No thank you!

I am a homebody, pure and simple. Not many places I am interested in visiting. There was a time I had a bucket list . The last time we traveled via airlines, I was totally turned off by the unprofessional attitudes of the attendants and the cheapness of the airlines for the outrageous prices they charge. If I had money to travel, I would have someone take the hubby and I all over the USA in a luxury motor home.  I like my life but I still can dream.

When someone  asks to meet for lunch, I am not interested in socializing . I use to love it. Now I love my privacy. I'm very happy with everything I Need right in front of my nose. Plus I am in a place where I want to eat healthier. I also have gotten very picky about who I see and where I go.

Have you ever outgrown people? I think sometime you see a different side of people and you both change too much to continue to the friendship. Today have two lifelong friends I will always keep in touch with.  I had 6 friends who I lost since 2010 , three of them in 2010, including Laura,  Mollye in 2014 and two of them, including Vivian in 2018. The sadness of their losses is only Laura, Mollye and Vivian really stayed true to me.  We all change and realize we have nothing in common anymore. Life is hard, my mother would tell me to PRAY harder!

I did not mean to make this so long. I think often I write lots of things because they weigh on my mind and I like to write them out. I suppose I could be secretive and write inside a diary or journal but I have had high hopes for these blogs so I will do it, as the song says, "My Way".

Pink Saturday

These words are so welcome to me anyway. Opinions change nothing but actions do.

Happy Tuesday

Could she be any happier? This was taken  13 days ago when the weather was warm. We have falle into a cold spell. Our heat was out. Uh-Oh! My favorite people at Brothers Heating and Plumbing came right over and took care of us. They are professional, friendly, reliable and reasonable. You can not be happier with that outfit. They are excellent with their customer service and their plumbers and electricians. We had the Nest installed by the solar people. It is an ongoing drama. I do not do drama. Anyway someone pulled a wire, the one that controls the heat. So thankful for Austin today and his helpfulness. Stop by Happy Tuesday and say hello.

Do you think Maxine is not friendly to her neighbors? She is ornery.

Hoping everyone has a great day and wonderful week. See you again, God willing.

Aw....Mondays and Love is...

Rebekah took Leo on a jaunt yesterday morning. We followed in the Jeep. Leo is very good unless he sees another dog, cat or squirrel/rabbit. Then he wants to run after them. He did well. Hannah says she had a headpiece for him which gives you more control since he is a very large boy. He was so  calm all day. We have a HUGE backyard. So he runs all day long. But seeing and smelling everything in your path is much more exciting for them! Rebekah has been his caregiver since Hannah moved to Western NY in 2019. Since they live on acreage, Hannah was afraid he'd get away and could get hit if he ran up the road or deep into their property. So he is here caregiver to the puppies. He is an excellent role model. This was Christmas 2020. Please visit Aw...Mondays

I hope everyone has a beautiful Monday!

Feline Friday, Friendly Fill- In's and Pink Saturday

 Feline Friday

The day I brought Mister Kitty home, he cried all the way home in the carrier. As he grew older he would stick his paw out of the carrier as if he were a prisoner going to his final destination. For a boy kitty he is terribly dramatic! He recently decided he would hog the bed. We have a battle of wits until one of us falls into a deep sleep. But I never really owned him. He was a gift. It cost more to set up his new carrier, bed, food and vet visit . But I never regretted it. As ornery as he can be he is still a gift.

The battle will begin shortly. He is being obnoxious. He hates the flash of the camera. But he hates the bright lights worse.  Who is gonna win the battle?

Ellen and Lorianne co host this fun blog hop. They each choose of the two questions. Thank you ladies.

1. I don't like to ___________but I have to.

2. I __________like a ________.

3. I secretly ____________.

4. ___________wears me out.

My answers:

1. I don't like to pay taxes, but I have to.

2. I play ball like a girl!

3. I secretly crush on Matthew McConaughey

4. Making our King size XL split adjustable bed wears me out.

Shea Shea is pretty in pink. Even with all the teething misery. She can crack you up. She can "mean mug " you with the best of them . We have a very complex relationship. She knows I have more experience. I watched her brothers so nothing gets past this old  pro grandmother. She doesn't like it sometime and she will Mean Mug me. HaHaHa! The girl has sass and moxie.

THANKFUL THURSDAY

I had minimal sleep on Tiesday night. Yesterday was a terrible, awful, horrible day. Yet here I am. God is good. He saved me from insanity! Please visit Thankful Thursday

My thankfuls:

1. The solar electrician put in the Nest the other energy guys couldn't. He had an extra, the one they sent us was broken. The energy guys had none.
