"F" is for Fun/Pink Saturday/Holiday Moments

I thought of lots of "F" words to share today! Filling and fattening come to mind because I really overdid my Christmas! Too much wonderfully delicious food. This weekend I will get back on track and walk and run all weekend long! I shared some silly fun facts with you.
Nick and our kitty, Tiger, or Mr. Kitty and Mickey if you please! He looks perplexed! We had a fun filled Christmas day!
Kevin from Home Alone photo bombed Nick and I taking a happy Christmas photo!
This is a musical group called "Fun". I really like these three geeky guys! I have always made a point  of keeping current with music trends because I like to know what my kids listen to! Have some fun and listen to these guys. I think you might like their music.
Our garage is full! It is so full of stuff that none of my Christmas decorations came out this year. I was lucky that the tree was visible to bring out! Sigh! I need this storage system. So once the warmer days come around I am going to have a mandatory storage sorting day and everyone in this phamily is going to help out or their things will go to the thrift store or the curb for the trash man! We celebrated three years in this house and there is no room for cars in the spacious two car garage! Now that I shared some "F" words for fabulous, fun and fulfilling posts please visit Ms. Jenny and all the fantastic people at Alphabe Thursday!

Oh I love Barbie! My brother-in-law gave me this sweet Barbie for Christmas. She looks good next to

Ballerina Barbie. She was a gift from my Secret Santa, my grandson Colton! I love these new dolls. They fit into Beverly's Pink Saturday this week. Please visit Ms. Beverly and all the wonderful pinkies you can!

I was at dinner with my handsome sons and my sweet hubby. Our son Jeremy's friend Cameron joined us and we had a nice evening. So I want to say enjoy your weekend and have a wonderful Saturday!

Pink Saturday/Blue Monday/Merry Christmas/Love is...

I am barely going to make a visit to Beverly and the Pinkies! It has been a whirlwind weekend. Lots to do before the Christmas Eve and Day festivities. So here is a pretty pink ice sculpture of Cinderella's carriage. It is very pretty in pink.
Fleur-de-lis ice sculpture in pink! Such talent.
Even these fish are pretty in pink. The work involved in sculpting this must be painstakingly perfect!
I know you know Ms. Jenny. She made this precious sign for me for a birthday/Christmas gift. She is too kind. I love my sign and will hang it in my office. It is pretty in shades of blue just for Sally and the Blue Crew!
I borrowed this pretty pink Merry Christmas image from goggle. I thought I'd share a pink Christmas and a blue one too:
This blue and white tree is shining bright.
This is my favorite message year round!
Oh this precious Love is....makes me smile. It has been my life story. We have never had a lot of anything material and yet we have lots of love. Today we were cozy watching the Bronco game (they won and Manning broke Bradys TD record)! It was a lot of fun. So I want to wish each one of you a Merry Christmas and a beautiful and healthy Happy New Year for 2014.  Please visit Marydon and share a favorite Love is...

Thank you for supporting me here for the past four years. It has been great fun and I cherish all your friendships.

"E" is for Everything!

I wanted to write my "E" post about earthworms, I love them! But they would look better to you in the Springtime! Then I thought, evil, because I work with evil girls. But no one wants me to put a damper on their Christmas holiday cheer! So I decided to be positive and share a few of God's masterpieces with you and a little bit of everything else!
The sun was rising early this morning as I drove my honey to the bus. God is so good.  He paints a beautiful picture, don't you agree?

Hello Moon! This is not a superb photo of it but I love the moon, I really do! Last night it was gleaming and I took this shot as my hubby drove us home! So many lights all around, it is hard to capture a really good photo. Plus I was using my i phone not my good camera with the huge lens.
My niece Karla says "Elf" is her favorite Christmas movie. I bought it because I trust her. It was a really sweet movie. He is defiantly the tallest elf ever! Plus his Christmas enthusiasm is contagious!
This will be all of us after the festivities end! Aren't these puppies just precious?
Hopefully you all enjoyed this "E" post and you are settling in for a long winters night and getting your Christmas excitement on! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Please visit Ms. Jenny and join the Alphabe Thursday gang for some fun and excitement this holiday season!

Love is.../Blue Monday/Giveaway Winner

During the Christmas season we count our blessings. Most of us think phamily is a wonderful blessing. It is a favorite blessing I have in my own life. Stop by and visit Marydon and share your favorite Love is...
Look at this tiny blue decorated Christmas tree.  We had a tree just like this and my hubby gave it away! I loved that little tree because you could change the color theme and it always looked so pretty and bright. we were late getting our tree set up but the tree is standing tall with the lights all around. Tomorrow we will finish adding ornaments. Non breakable of course! So far the kitten just sniffed around the tree and has not yet made any attempts to climb it!
A pretty google image here with silver and blue ribbons! I love wreaths and this one is simple but elegant. I thought the tree and the wreath would add some blue fun to Sally and the blue crew!
Now here is the giveaway winner: Drum roll............

Iggy at Intense Guy! Woo Hoo! This will be fun! To send a special gift to a wonderful friend. All of you are such a special part of my time here. I have had several giveaways and not had a winner that was a gentleman! So Horray for Iggy! I will get your gift to you shortly. I just need an address to send it your way!

Pink Saturday and a One Day Extension on My Giveaway!

Oh I want this feathery pink wreath! It is so sweet. I found it on the google images so if anyone has any idea how to make this wreath, I would love to know!

We still need to put our tree up. I have so many tree allergies so we can not have a real tree and it makes me sad. But I have some nice pine scented candles to help make me feel a little better about it. How about a pink tree? This one is simply lovely with the silver and gold packages and look at the silver wreath hanging on the side!
I am thinking some pretty pink and silver ornaments would be perfect especially if they are unbreakable. We are nervous about the kitten. Although he is growing into a big kitty, he is very mischievous! I have visions of Rose sitting in the heap that once was our Christmas tree several years ago looking up at us in the middle of the night with innocent eyes saying "Hey I was trying to scale the darn thing when it fell over ! Not my fault." Mr. Kitty, a/k/a Tiger a/k/a Mickey may take that to a higher level! He might scale the ceiling before plopping into the middle of my pretty angel sitting high on top of the tree!
Avon has the coolest pink tool kits for ladies. I really love it.These makes great gifts for the gals! The spotlight is wonderful too. Now skip over to Beverly's and visit the pinkies! Beverly is an excellent hostess. Each week she makes sure we all have fun with the pink themes we choose. So tell her thank you for hosting.
I am extending my giveaway one more day! Please please please come over, follow me and visit. Leave a comment.  I will draw some lucky winner(s) tomorrow evening! Spread the good cheer! To all those faithful followers thank you so much! I treasure each one of you. Your friendship here means so much to me. Thank you.

"D" is for December

December is a busy month in my phamily. Of course, it is the time we celebrate the birth of Our Lord. In my phamily, as a child, and in my own phamily, He has always taken center stage. I am appalled and disgusted that all around this "Holiday" garbage resounds!  I won't slight Christ because whoever thinks it is politically incorrect. I have always told my own children Christ was the most politically incorrect person who walked this earth. Be proud to know him! Too many Christians like to sit back and remain quiet. Speak out, speak up and make your voice heard. Before I  continue my December thoughts, I noticed that four presidents, one current and three former attended the funeral of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. The country announced "A National Day of Prayer". Something our own government frowns upon yet there they were .

2 Corinthians 10:5

English Standard Version (ESV)
We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

I am a December (3) baby. My first born child and oldest daughter is a December baby(13). We are in good company with my niece Holly (16), my nephew Brian (24) and of course, my daughter's hubby and my son-in-law Roger (13). Noelle and Roger share December 13th as their dual birthday! Finally Sarah, Holly's daughter (31). Can't forget my twin Julie Tucker Wolek (Dec 3)

I am not a traditional December birthday girl! I have always liked anything that was not poinsettias and trimmed with red and green and Santa Claus! I do love a Snowman though. I am sharing some fun facts about December here:

1. The birthstone of December is turquoise.
2. Zodiac signs for December are Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21) and Capricorn (December 22 - January 19).
3. The birth flower of December is the narcissus.
4. World's AIDS Day is celebrated on December 1st.
5. December 3 - International Day of the Disabled Person
6. Universal Human Rights Month
7. National Read a New Book Month
8. In December, Nobel Prizes are awarded.
9. On December 4, 1791, The Observer newspaper (the first Sunday newspaper) was first published in Britain.
10. Christmas Day is celebrated on December 25th.
11. On December 7, 1941, The United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor was attacked by Japanese planes which killed more than 2,300 Americans.
12. On December 20, 1803, the Louisiana Purchase was completed.
13. Kwanzaa is celebrated on December 26 - January 1 every year.
14. National Stress Free Family Holiday Month
15. December 27th is National Chocolate Day
16. On December 29, 1862, the bowling bowl was invented.
17. Poinsettia Day is on December 12th.
18. On December 3, 1967, the first heart transplant was completed.
19. On December 17, 1903, the Wright Brothers made their first flight.
20. On December 14, 1791, the Bill of Rights was passed.

Look at number 17.! I posted my photo of my poinsettia the office staff gave me for my birthday. Today is December 12th! My friend Dr. T has a son, Kevin who shares December as his birthday and today is his day!

Narcissus , the December flower.
The birthstone is Turquoise although Blue Topaz is also a December birthstone.

I hope you will join Ms. Jenny and the Alphabe Thursday crowd .

"December's wintry breath is already clouding the pond, frosting the pane, obscuring summers memory..." John Geddes

Don't forget my giveaway through December 14th. Just comment and follow me. Easy peasy!

Please pray for Nick as he heads home tomorrow evening. We have a big phamily celebration at a local Mexican restaurant to celebrate his return along with Noelle and Roger's birthday!

Vintage Ornaments and Love is....

Oh goodness! Where does the time go? Every year I say, make a note, call Jay Cutler, QB from the Chicago Bears and ask him to make sure he mails those Christmas cards from his hometown of Santa Claus, Indiana....
Then life gets busy! Drat! I am showing you a beautiful collage of vintage Christmas ornaments. for Blue Monday. My mother had the most lovely ornaments and I wish I had some of those at my home. I don't have a tree up yet. But this weekend, God willing, we will get the house decorated. Then maybe next year I can ask Jay to help me get my cards mailed early! Don't you love the blue sign welcoming you to Santa Claus? The whole town is a festival of Christmas cheer all year round. What a fun place to live. I understand volunteers hand stamp those Christmas cards for you and then everyone knows you went that extra mile and had Santa Claus, Indiana send your cards out! Do you mail Christmas cards? I am so old fashioned and I love them and always will.
I hope you will visit Sally and count my blues today. Then visit Marydon and share a favorite Love is...This one is my hubby and me! We are always side by side. We ran int he door this evening and jumped in our jammies. We turned on that tea kettle and he kicked up the electric blanket. It is so cold here. But I am hearing it is cold everywhere. We actually were colder than the North Pole on Tuesday last week. So I hope Santa takes this cold weather back to his hometown and keeps it there.
Yesterday as we drove past the baseballs stadium, the home of our Colorado Rockies I was longing for Springtime and thinking of these words, by Roger Hornsby, "People ask me what I do in the winter, when there is no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for Spring."
Have a beautiful week.

Alphabe Thursday/Pink Saturday/ Secret Santa Fun

Ok, blogger has been a pain in my brain! Finally I am able to come post a new story! But now I have to combine three wonderful events! Alphabe Thursday. This is the first one and here is my work "chubby"! So please please please Ms. Jenny forgive my lateness. Please make a note that blogger is very bad and got me into trouble with my favorite teacher! Did you know that a chubby is a small space? Well, that's my office. But it is mine and here is the view I saw at 4:30 P.M.last night....
The sun setting in the West. The snow icy cold and still all over the ground! This is my view daily from the second floor window I cherish in that tiny office space. So Ms. Jenny forgive my lateness and enjoy my tiny tiny work space known as a "chubby". Now rush over and visit some Alphabe Thursday friends and see what they posted for the third alphabet letter C.
Dr. T,, sent me this lovely cupcake floral arrangement for my birthday! I sure miss her but she took a new job recently that she is going to L O V E ! I thought Beverly and the Pinkies would like this treat! After all it is calorie free!
My nephew Brian tore his Achilles Tendon! Double Ouch! He said he heard that real men wear pink so he got the pink cast! Pray he heals quickly. Now off to Pink Saturday for all to view the luscious pinkness of the Christmas holiday season!

Naughty, naughty, naughty! My sis has the cheesecake recipe and Mom's Texas Hash. Inventions from my mother's own heart. She could cook up a beautiful meal and often she improvised and made up recipes as she went along! Her baby sister, my Auntie Jo, name the hash Texas Hash! Can you guess why? Laugh Out Loud! Cause she lived a lot of her married years in Texas silly! Thanks Santa you are special to me and although I am uncertain of who you are I sure love you for your kind heart!
