Aw....Mondays

They call this the good life or lazy days. This cat has the life! He gets away with so much.  Taking a nap in the chair because he knows the puppies like to lay here. I am sharing with Aw....Mondays
Valentine's Day is coming up. Do you celebrate? We like to have a nice dinner. But Love is....shares flowers.
Tomorrow I may have to say this! We haven't had snow in quite some time so it started this morning and is suppose to continue until tomorrow. I am happy. My hubby has the day off.
Rebekah car pools with Jeremy. Due to the weather he asked her to leave early today. We were going to go to the store. She rolled down her drivers window to clean off the mirror. We heard a loud pop and off to the auto place a couple minutes away. They can not get the part until tomorrow. So we were not about to walk home in this frigid cold. We called an uber and it was great! This young fellow arrived in three minutes. It was so nice because his truck was nice and warm. This is the crazy day we had. Grateful we were able to get safely to the auto shop and grateful to have someone give us a quick ride home.
I LOVE police humor. It is so much more than seeing hate comments on our law enforcement. This was sweet!
This is just self explanatory.

Aw....Mondays and More

The world lost Grumpy cat not too long ago. What an ornery feline. Sort of a feline Maxine. No filter. Visit Aw....Mondays and say hi to Sandee and friends.
In loving memory of sweet Smiling Sally. A bit of blue for Monday and tea tyme.
Jeremy and Brody today. Brody is one energetic boy. He can give you a great workout! Baby Logan has those excellent days and some down days. But he is growing and he is active and we keep praying he will be home sooner than we think. The days and months slip away.
Love is...always says it best. Have a beautiful week.

BLOGGING

I am always cheerleading for bloggers! I hated seeing so many wonderful blogger buddies leave and head over to social media. Yet I don't seem to have enough hours in the day to blog daily and accomplish all my household chores and such, Oh life, why are you so cruel?
Instead of being grumpy or sad or whiney, I am going to share my sweet girl (Lulu) surrounded by Thor (left) and Loki (right). These cuties, sweet long haired chihuahua puppies came to live with us yesterday. The newlyweds wanted a puppy, and they bought the two brothers. They are so cute but they should be Trouble I and Trouble II. They get into serious mischief. with names like Thor and Loki they just want to be super heroes. These fellows and brothers so leaving one behind was N O T an option. My son-in-law Zach is one half  of a set of twins. He was excited having these boys, he fondly calls, his twin boys!
I was so wanting a tiny dog, ever since Hannah lost Roxanne. I asked the lady if she would get any more chihuahua's and she said she had one coming in but was not sure if she was a boy or a girl. My hubby really wanted a girl, like Roxanne.
When Roxanne came to live with us in December 2010, we all fell madly in love with her. She was Hannah's girl. A precious rescue Markus, Hannah's former beau found in an open field on a snowy evening a few days before CHRISTmas. she had been a breeder and when she could not produce anymore babies they dumped her. We loved that little girl until we lost her to cancer 11-01-2013. Lulu has been a gift to reopen our hurting hearts to love again. We know Thor and Loki are the icing on the puppy cake because those two are like a comedy duo.

Thor is this mighty warrior until his brother gets the best of him. He is smart and sweet and so full of energy I wish I could bottle it just to have a single drop every day!
Loki is a mild mannered pup. H A ! N O T ! He seems innocent until he and his brother Thor get into wrrestling matches.
Loki likes solitude when the hectic pace of puppy life gets to him! Lulu can be a diva so he has just had about enough of her nagging! Life is going to be fun with these three characters. Leo is loving it, he is the ultimate guardian of the puppies. The cats, meh, that is another story for another time. So come visit Sandee and say Aw.....Mondays.
I've been doing the daily Dress Up Challenge from April 12 to May 12 2018 with Allora and Nancy Campbell at their LuLuRoe page on social media. My blue, yellow and red Cassie skirt went to the hot diggity dog Irma shirt since I was in a wild and crazy mood with puppy madness today. Maybe the folks at Blue Monday will like my crazy blues mixed with yellow and red too.
Just a smile from a handsome boy to remind myself, life is simply what you make it to be. I'm with my handsome grandson, S M I L E. I was reminding this young lad that although my singing voice is not terrific, the words I make up to silly songs about him are from my heart and he tends to agree. He willbe the same age as Thor, Loki and Lulu as they are all born in the  lovely month of February 2018.
Thank you Love is....I could not have said it better myself.
Cynical Maxine about dogs. Her pet is quite the boom box pup.
A Scripture to share today and some wise words to share with Annie
Grateful to have a smile today and one to share. Be like Brody - S M I L E

Mondays Are Fun

I was reading an article about the latest Royal Wedding. Than I found this kitty dressed for tea time with the Queen. I had to share it with Sandee and everyone at Aw....Mondays. If Monday's are tough, these sweet shares should make you smile. I am hoping my Kentucky Derby hat arrives before the big Derby Day. I nearly forgot to order one. I will share it next weekend. This pillbox style hat is quite chic in lavender.
These dress up cats had me cracking me. This Captain America is a real live hero. Saving natnip across the USA. Maybe Blue Monday will apreciate the feline humor too. Stop in for all your blues.
This small boy has had a rough couple of days. Cleared of any life changing and difficult one in a million aliments, he isn't quite sure someone isn't going to poke or prod him once more. He is a precious boy and we are so grateful for all the prayer he received during these past two months. If I could eradicate all the horrible childhood illnesses with a magic wand I would do it! I do not like to see children suffer. It truly break my heart. I don't mean to sound selfish, but I am very grateful this grandboy is healthy and growing so quickly. I pray each day for his life, I want him to be a happy child. I will always reach for God.

Blaise Pascal was a child prodigy. As a child myself I always found stories of him to be delightful and even as a child I found his faith to be extraordinaire. I admired his intellect in Mathematics and during the difficult days while waiting for a diagnosis for our little grandbaby I kept remembering these words, attributed to Blaise Pascal:
My faith has helped me more than anything else in this world filled with uncertainties. I am grateful each day that I know God and share such a personal relationship with Jesus.
McGuffy's Reader asks us to share some kindness each Monday or something postive. I thought another quote attributed to Blaise Pascal was on point,
Years ago Roseann Barr did a comedy routine where she called herself a "Domestic Goddess". My kids were small back then and I liked the sound of that. It sounded so glamours instead of being a housewife or someone's mother or wife. God bless Roseann ,she got me through some difficult days with that goddess routine. Thanks Love is...for the memory and reminder of being a domestic goddess
Telling my age, (chuckling) but I remember singing this catchy little song when I was a kid. As a young mother with mountains of laundry, I learned to balance my prayerful time with God while I sorted laundry and washed and dried our clothes. Something I took from Anne Graham Lotz, the daughter of Billy Graham. She said when her own children were small, she found the best personal moments she could share with God were during her laundry chores. I love doing laundry to this very day.
Oh Maxine, a long time ago savings and loan businesses would give you small household appliances for opening an account with them. When I was married my mother gave me an iron. I told my mother it was written in my marriage vows that I did not have to participate in such an activity. She gave me the iron anyway.
Another week is upon us. I hope your's is simply amazing.

Aw...Mondays with Blue Mondays and such.

Cats do the craziest things!
This bunch is going to burst that box open! Maybe Sandee will enjoy this madcap bunch of feline funny fur balls!
Visit Blue Monday for a bit of blue.
I can not get enough of this tiny grandboy. Look at that face! He likes to sleep during the day and keep his tired parents awake at night. He has a little smile saying, Ah-ha, I am small but mighty! I have your number and you will do as I say!
I could spend all night kissing baby feet! I even kiss Harrison's feet! He is quite tickleish and loves it.
Getting so tall! Saturday he got to watch his cousin Devin play soccer. His momma said "would you like a baby brother", he replied, "a bicycle". She said" how about a baby sister?" He was exasperated and walked away shrugging his shoulders! He wore me out yesterday. We ran and played with Leo in the yard. Did I ever mention Leo doesn't like sharing? He won't let us throw the frisbee for him!
Don't let the innocent face fool you?
Love is....always right on que. I am not into Hollywood or celebrity opinions but yesterday I left my phone at home and watched the movie "Lady Bird" with Noelle and Roger. It was quite good and just really is sort of like real life. Having attended Catholic school, I loved all the quips from the "cool" nun. She was older and very wise but it was cute, while chaperoning a dance, she walked up to a couple dancing and said, "Six inched, leave six inches between you for the Holy Spirit!" During my Catholic school days at SMCS in Pueblo, Sister Benita was a young and very beautiful Irish Catholic nun from Chicago. She would roll up her habit, and play baseball with us. Those nuns had a great impact on me. remembering November 22, 1963, the nuns were all crying when sharing the news of the assassination of president JFK. We even had a Hispanic nun, Sister Carla Barela, in high school, who taught music. She was associated with the Brown Beret, a local activist group who worked hard for the rights of the Hispanic people.
Should you be so fortunate to have your mother here with you today make sure you keep her close to your heart. Call her, visit her, tell her how much you love her. Then stop by Annie's and share something positive for  Spark's.
Have a beautiful and blessed day. Visit Josie Two Shoes and share what you are grateful for as well. We can make a difference here by being positive and steering clear of meanness and negativity. Let's all lift each other up.
Maxine I think you are being very silly. She is gearing up for a nice warm Spring day in the sunshine.

Aw......Mondays and Blue Monday and More

Sandee is the best host of Aw....Mondays. Now that our life events have all fallen into place, I am hopeful I will be able to catch up with everyone who kindly leaves comments. This cute baby and this sweet black lab look cozy together. Please share your own Aw...Monday favorites too.

Today Brody Edward made his entrance into our world. Both phamilies are beyond happy to welcome this tiny new member of our world. PaPa Avery and tiny grandson Brody. He is our first grandson since 1996. We are so tickled. He was 6 lbs. and 2 oz. and was 19 and 1/4 inches long.
He is a handsome and sweet boy. We are going to love him always and forever. Grateful he is perfect and healthy in every way.
Look at his cute baseball hat. Both grandparents and his sister and parents L O V E baseball. We thought we would share with Blue Monday Boy is for baby blue and I wore my blue and yellow Carly dress to meet this precious bundle of love.
He was enjoying a little nap time and we did not want to fiddle with his new baseball beanie. He looks like a tiny baby pope.
A definition of B O Y. Joyful to have a new life in our lives. He will be so loved.
Love is...is always right on target.
Oh Maxine, I figured you would change the subject! We have a cold front roaring through, 60 today and 28 tomorrow. Not exactly global warming here in Colorado.
Brody has the most precious feet and hands. He is long for a small bundle of pure love. Thank you for stopping by and know I care and will visit soon.
Stop in and tell Annie hello and share something beautiful and positive today.
I love sharing positive things and beautiful shares. I don't like the hatefulness I see around our world, I like to set my heart on the heroes, the goodness in people. I think everyone could do a better job just being kinder especially to or about people we are not fond of.
Come share your thoughts at Annie's too.
