We're Going to the Chapel and They Are Going to Get Married.........

Nick was modeling his cool tux for me.  He is one of the 8 groomsmen. Can't share too much until after the big ceremony at 5 o'clock tonight. The groom and groomsmen will wear orange ties and vests and the dad's will wear navy blue. A true Bronco wedding and with the NFL Draft in full swing most of us are so happy with the Paxton Lynch QB pick!
We have to adjust the vest but isn't this baby boy handsome? we are just happy he made it home safely as this is a quick trip for him. He goes back to school tomorrow, finishes his finals and we pick him up on Tuesday May 3rd, our 32nd wedding anniversary. We will head out May 4th and Nick will be here for the summer. Jeremy and Brittany will be lying on a sandy beach for their honeymoon and we will enjoy the calm after the wedding. It has been a fun ride though.

"C" is for commitment! This wedding Day will be a beautiful sharing of special vows and a lifetime of love and commitment. I wish these kids a long and happy marriage, The kind my hubby and I have had. It has not been without sadness, illness, loss and many other obstacles life throws in your path. But the journey has been filled with love and respect, honor and trust. Marriage is a beautiful thing. I know the kids will have a good solid marriage too.
With the busy days we have had leading up to this eventful day, I fell behind on my posts. I will be sharing a giveaway soon. stay tuned. If you love all things tea like me you will love my giveaway too! This scripture really makes sense to me. I wish Brittany and Jeremy much joy and if they keep Christ as the center of their marriage it will be smooth sailing along the way.
The kids believe this is true. I will be back to share wedding photos. Make sure you visit Beverly and share your Pinks, or Peachy Oranges as I have today! Please say a prayer that the snowy weather allows our traveling guests to arrive safely.

B is for Being Silly and Other Beautiful words Beginning with B

Somehow I get on a silly kick and had to share this t shirt with you. It just makes me smile. I laugh out loud and love the words written here. Are you nerdy?
You know Maine has an opinion on everything! While I am being silly here is a great running quote:

Who doesn't agree with me?

I think "B" for Baseball is the best! I love this quote. I love baseball, the Colorado Rockies are not the best in baseball though.

B is also for boys and I have two of them! Nick will be home Friday, by the grace of God, for the wedding! Storms everywhere  east of us and we hear snow for Jeremy and Brittany's wedding on Saturday!

Auntie Ang never had children of her own but she and Uncle Louie loved all the little ones. Jeremy was just a tiny baby here with Noelle too.
Jeremy likes to wear sports hats today but when he was very small he liked fancy men's hats! This one belonged to Uncle Louie.
Jeremy was a good student when he attended Holy Family HS. Many teachers in his younger years always said he would become a good student if he worked harder.  All though high school and college he did just that! He graduated high school in 2003. This is ten years later:
Always smiling and boy oh boy is he smiling now. On Saturday he will be marrying Brittany. They go together beautifully. It is a good thing when one person compliments another. Here is a Scripture I hope they will mediate on:
This verse is written on my parents marriage certificate. These are wise words and I hope Jeremy and Brittany will think so too!

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12New American Standard Bible (NASB)

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. 10 For if [a]either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not [b]another to lift him up.11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they [c]keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if [d]one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.
I will come back tomorrow and tell more stories about Jeremy. The day got away from me and I got a headache too. Just some stressful days leading up to the big day. Lots of things to do. Please visit Jenny and everyone at Warm Heart Wednesday too. Did I mention, weddings warm my heart?

HATS FOR A PINK KY DERBY DAY/BLUE MONDAY/ AW...MONDAY/LOVE IS.../

Oh how I miss my childhood and young teen and adult years when I would go shopping with my two sisters and sweet mom at the House of Paris hat shop! Every year for my entire life I had a very beautiful Easter hat and as an adult I have cherished this tradition but have bought myself a Kentucky Derby hat! Since the Derby is on my bucket list, I wear my hat even though I am sitting in my own living room watching this event with my Sweets. Here is my 2016 Derby hat:
A pink vintage inspired Garden Party hat. I love having tea parties too so this will be fun to wear more than once. Please visit  Beverly and the pinkies to say hello and share some anything goes pink week!
My 2013 Blue Derby hat. I like to shop at Berkley Hats in Berkley, California. Their hats are reasonable, unless you want a Queen Elizabeth hat or a big name hat designer. This precious hat was a special one because I had won $1,000 on the radio. I purchased hats for two of my three daughters, Rebekah and Hannah  with part of that money too. Noelle had recently purchased a hat for a girlfriends bridal shower which had a Kentucky Derby theme. So she did not want another hat.I would love to be so talented that I could design a line of hats.
Here is Noelle's hat, which won her first prize in the Best Derby Hat at Diana's bridal shower. This was the hat from the Alice in Wonderland  Mad Hatter Hat. You can see a bit of blue here too. So now you can stop by Jeanne's and wish her a Happy Blue Monday as well as visit others. I try to visit all the participates in all the meme's I participate in. I just think it is a nice courtesy.
These pinterest images show a sweet cat celebrating Derby Day and a Pretty pup sharing their favorite Kentucky Derby hats. Stop by Sandee's and visit her and everyone who celebrates Aw...Monday!

Funny that the man I married was quite a dancer when I met him yet he is telling me he is not going to dance all night at our son's wedding April 30th. I suppose we could talk or smooch! Love this Love is... and hope you all have a wonderful week!

Let's Start Over....Alphabe Day With A Warm Heart Wednesday

I was thinking of doing the alphabet thing each day and I just seem to not get to where I want to go! Dogs are underfoot, cats as crying, we want food, more fresh water! Meow Meow Meow! I need a vacation from all these pets! I am a very independent person so I like to get up and go and it is not always easy with this bunch of furry people hanging around me!
Now cats are another matter. More devious, more obsessed with their human! They want your full attention like a two year old, when they want it, and it is usually N O W !!!
Cats and bathing do not go hand in hand. I think they must be bathed shortly after their birth, otherwise, they will perform an exorcism on you!
My husband knows I have one Master. It is God, and he has never tried to hold me back or question me. OK, yeah, those credit cards, once and a while! I simply say,

" Oh that old thing, you were not paying attention to me when I was with you and purchased it! " I feel blessed to have my hubby. He is my Sweets, my favorite friend living on this earth,  Here he is with our middle daughter.

Someone had to fill that incredible void I had from losing my ultimate BFF my grandmother Cecilia Steblay. I miss her as if she went away to join heaven's saints yesterday. Not one day goes by that I do not think of her and love her dearly. I inherited her awful eye sight. Now you think God might have been a little nicer and jumped a generation to my mom, who had wonderful vision to the very end of her life. My grandma lost her sight due to a detached retina.  She was hanging  her laundry in this photo. My mom never wore glasses. Here she is with Noelle.

When my Sweets had his eye appointment to set up his surgery, for May , they were concerned about a detached retina too. Fortunately it turned out to be nothing but thankfully they feared the worst and it double checked.  When I had my eye exam a few weeks ago the doctor looked concerned as well. Fortunately for me, Fred, my annoying floating friend who hangs out in my left eye was laying low that day! He was butting into my beautiful photos of my eye on the computer screen! R U D E Fred! Did you ever see the movie, "Drop Dead Fred"?
It is a terribly silly movie that my kids loved when they were younger. Fred is the imaginary friend of a little girl who grows up to be a beautiful young lady. Problem with her life, she can not let go of Fred. So I thought Fred was a very appropriate name for my annoying floater. But the doctors assistant has to get the credit, she saw my fear and the fact that I wanted to burst into tears and said "Let's name it, how about Fred?" When his twin brother took up residence in my right eye I gave him the name of Frank!
I had been on a kick between red and purple glasses and picked out these, which vary from light blue with some brown in the frame.
I am a terrible selfie taker but these are my second pair in brown with pink sides. I really like them both and they have the transition lens to go from indoors to outdoors. Saves me having to slip sunglasses on and off.
I decided A is for awesome people! Of course I am talking about those of you that come over to visit me here but also the wonderful folks I have had the experience to deal with lately. The gentleman who let me cut into traffic so I would not still be sitting at the post office exit driveway last night! About 100 cars were getting ready to cruise through the green light and he motioned me in! Thanks stranger! Thanks to Ginger on KBCO 97.3 FM radio who played Purple Rain and made me cry along with her! She announced the passing of Prince today. He was suffering from the flu and continued touring but then had a relapse and passed away at his home earlier today. He was a talent and we seem to be losing so many talented musicians lately. Thanks to Robin and Dr. Geck for getting Rebekah in for an urgent dental appointment when she returns from Ireland this weekend. The doctor gave me his private number so she may call him and he can talk with her before the appointment. Thanks to the three cashiers and one manager at my favorite Walmart store who chatted with me in the early morning hours when their store wasn't terribly busy. Thanks to the cute lil gal at Chick Filet who took my order in the wind and cold because their speaker system was down and called me "Miss Anne" and told me to have a terrific day! To Bev at King Soopers for being a good friend and helping me check out in the serve yourself lanes when I have too many big ticket items! Thanks to the young man at King Soopers who has Down's Syndrome and grabs a cart for me and the cute lil gal with Down's at Sprouts who always carefully packs my groceries, mainly fruits and veggies and tells me to have a beautiful day! They make up for some of the meanies we deal with daily! When people are mean to me in traffic and want me to go faster than the speed limit, I crank up my radio and sing at the top of my lungs! They usually sped around me and for that I am grateful, because they are sitting on the side of  road getting a speeding ticket and I am not! Grateful to my niece Karla and her hubby Aaron for the soap and Doterra items to help heal my hubby from his bronchitis.
I am grateful for the awesome time Rebekah is having in Ireland. She said she was adopted by a couple from Massachusetts because she is traveling solo. Wish we were with her. Maybe next time! She is sharing this photo of the Cliffs of Moher. God is so good, He gives us so much natural beauty to enjoy. I have a warm heart today for these things and more. I pray and ask you to pray as well that Rebekah has a safe journey home again this weekend. I hope you will visit Jenny and share your warm hearts today too.

My BoJon Heritage/Aw...Monday/Blue Monday/Love is.../Maxine Cracks Me Up/

When I was first able to really talk about the loss of our unborn daughter Rachel, I met a wonderful Australian blogger who wrote her name in the sand at the sea and sent the photo to me. The object of this is to see that loved ones name and then know at some point the tide will come in and wash it away. The feeling it gave me made me feel a little better. But I know one day this beautiful child and I will be reunited in heaven with the phamily and that gives me great peace.
Losing this precious little life came on a beautiful Spring like day. I just knew in my heart she was no longer living. An appointment with the meanest doctor confirmed my fears. His unkind heart will forever be a reminder of that fateful day but I do not dwell on it. I remember the little life who once kicked and fussed for the first six months of her tiny life in-utero. I concentrate on the grace Christ provided for me, the many beautiful hearts who surrounded us in prayer and the thoughtfulness of many who shared their own stories of loss with me. The sadness happened on the same date as my big sis Patricia,  celebrated another birthday, March 27, 1987. Little did I know I would lose that precious sissy years later, February 2001. Because of my VP Shunt and the fact that I had to have an antibiotic until the birth of this beautiful unborn but deceased child was difficult to say the least. She was delivered on April 17, 1987 without much fanfare. The moments we were allowed alone with her are forever etched inside my heart. A nearly perfect little person with ten fingers and ten matching toes. Long legs like her father and a beautiful little person who passed away for unknown reasons.

"Small Bump"
[Verse 1:]
You're just a small bump unborn, in four months you're brought to life,
You might be left with my hair, but you'll have your mother's eyes,
I'll hold your body in my hands, be as gentle as I can,
But for now you're scan of my unmade plans,
[album version:] A small bump in four months you're brought to life
[acoustic version:] A small bump in four months you'll open your eyes

[Pre-Chorus:]
[album version:] I'll whisper quietly, I'll give you nothing but truth,
[acoustic version:] I'll hold you tightly, I'll give you nothing but truth,
If you're not inside me, I'll put my future in you

[Chorus:]
You are my one and only.
You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight.
Oh, you are my one and only.
You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight.
And you'll be alright.

[Verse 2:]
Oh, you're just a small bump unknown, you'll grow into your skin.
With a smile like hers and a dimple beneath your chin.
Finger nails the size of a half grain of rice,
And eyelids closed to be soon opened wide
A small bump, in four months you'll open your eyes.

[Pre-Chorus:]
[album version:] And I'll hold you tightly, I'll tell you nothing but truth,
[acoustic version:] And I'll hold you tightly, I'll give you nothing but truth,
If you're not inside me, I'll put my future in you

[Chorus:]
You are my one and only.
You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight.
Oh, you are my one and only.
You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight.
And you'll be alright.

[Bridge:]
And you can lie with me,
With your tiny feet
When you're half asleep,
I'll leave you be.
Right in front of me
For a couple weeks
So I can keep you safe.

[Chorus:]
'Cause you are my one and only.
You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight.
You are my one and only.
You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight.
And you'll be alright.

[Verse 4:]
'Cause you were just a small bump unborn for four months then torn from life.
Maybe you were needed up there but we're still unaware as why.

This song was written by Ed Sheeran when his friends lost an unborn child. He said he tried to write it from their perspective. I found this song and dedicated it to my girl Rachel.

I want to hang this sign outside my house. Some days the cats are more naughty than the dogs.
This google image made me laugh! Looks like these two were figuring their taxes as that deadline is approaching on Monday! They don't look very happy, no refund perhaps, for more dog bones and cat treats! I hope you visit Aw...Monday and join Sandee and others who share some super fun and cute pets each Monday.

Jeremy was surprised by his friends the Ninja Turtles who stopped for a photo with him in downtown Las Vegas.  He will fit into Blue Monday for Jeanne and company. He loves his Kentucky Wildcats and loves wearing his blue shirt.

Brittany and Jeremy, they are so happy. It is getting very exciting, getting so close to the wedding date. Thirteen days to go.
We like to play gin rummy and this Love is...makes me smile.  I can't wait for my wedding anniversary so I can put up a Happy Anniversary Love is...I hope we get some anniversary cards too. Since I joined the encouragement group it has been so much fun getting mail too. Thoughtfulness is a great gift. It doesn't cost a lot and makes a person smile big.

Maxine seems to have an opinion on everything, including Tax Day. Don't forget, it is Monday April 18th!

Everyone have a great week!

Warm Heart Wednesday /Alphabe Day

A strawberry crepe will always warm my heart on on day! I treated the middle - to breakfast at Village Inn where we both enjoyed a strawberry crepe. If you would be so kind, stop by Jenny Matlock and join the Warm Heart Wednesday.
I can not seem to get through the day with a post at my blog so I am going to play catch up right here:
"A" is for A D O R A B L E ! My life is so happy with babies or as my daughter Noelle says "It's A Baby Palooza"! The toothy grin belongs to Leonidus who will turn one in July. The great grand boy Harrison is showing you his sly smile. These two fellows like each other's company and that alone will warm a heart.
"B" is for going bonkers! With Jeremy and Brittany's upcoming wedding in 16 days, the boys Vegas last hurrah as a bachelor trip, Nick's finals, Nick's flight to Vegas from KC and back again and his flight home April 29 and back to Salina again can make you bonkers! He has a professor who refuses to allow anyone to take an early final exam so we felt it was too much to travel to Kansas turn around and come home and turn around and go back May 3. Oh yes, my wedding anniversary! Ah...the joys of traveling the lovely highway I-70 East for this college pick up trip! I might get a McDonald's salad for lunch or a Pizza Hut buffet in Russell, Kansas! Maybe I will have an anniversary card in my mail when I return! Home for the summer May 4th. Now if you can top this bonkers list, please do! Oh, Rebekah has her Ireland trip and she is suppose to leave this Saturday. Did I mention the weather is predicting a huge storm half rain and half snow! Please pray and ask for a clear take off for this girl who has been planning this trip for as long as I can remember.
Since I gave you "C" for crepe already how about one more delicious dish, a blueberry blintz? Now please visit Jenny and pray for nice weather.

Aw....Monday/Blue Monday/Maxine Cracks Me Up/ Love is.../

Our Rose is a beautiful girl. I know I seem to brag about her but those jade green eyes get me every time. She wanted to say hello and wish everyone a wonderful week and a beautiful Aw...Monday. Please say hello to Sandee and everyone at Aw...Monday.
I'm just loving the blue in this photo. Don't you think this kitten is too sweet? I notice when Harrison comes over the pets all gravitate toward him. I think they love that he smells so sweet and also like milk! Even the dogs like to lick his face,
See this smiling face? He is always smiling like this! Such a precious boy with those big blue eyes and he looks so good in greens and blues too. Now visit Jeanne and everyone at Blue Monday. I am way behind visiting and after Brittany and Jeremy's wedding and our Kansas trip to bring Nick home I will get back into the swing of things! April is a full and very busy month.
I think I have been backward all month long. Maybe Maxine is really right on with this observation!
Love is.....makes great sense today! So many priorities today are backward!
I did remember to post my "A" is for....Aw...Monday! I won't let you down here. Have a great week and enjoy it with those you love best!
