Day 1 of The 10 Day Scripture Challenge

My friend Michele Luttrell challenged me at Face Book to post a Scripture for 10 days and to tag a friend each day to do this too. We wanted to flood Face Book with the word of God. There is so much hatefulness, so much division over politics and so many other topics that everyone seems to have varied opinions on. Please accept this challenge here and please leave a comment that you too, will post a Scripture for ten days.  I will happily visit your blog. Thank you. I will leave this open here because it is a good way to start flooding the blogs with the Word of God too. I hope you all will join me. I am very excited to do this.
God is very good and He will always walk through this life with us. He will give you rest when you need rest. I am very grateful to know Him. I hope you will visit Spiritual Sunday and share your thoughts there as well.

Thoughts on Phamilies and Friendships, Technology and Spiders too

You know this has been my life lately! Log on, oh wait, wrong password! So I am learning to live with it. One thing I tell God all the time is I no longer wish to have the patience of Job! He never listens to me. He must know something I don't. (Wink Wink)
I have to laugh out loud on this note! A FaceBook friend shared this as well as another FB friend sharing the password button too. My mother always said to never kill a Daddy Long Legs spider. I am not fearful of spiders to the point that I run screaming from the room! I am not their fan much either but mom said Daddy Long Legs was good luck so if I find one in my house I escort him out the door, gently, usually on a sheet of paper. I always wish him well too.
Yes, spiders are sneaky but when I think about the talent they were given I have to smile. My goodness they are engineers and architects. Only God could create such a creature. Think about it sometime. They are so talented.
Jeremy has always loved the Broncos. The  one Super Bowl he was fortunate enough to go to was the one they lost. He still says he never regretted it, it was an amazing experience.
Jeremy is always silly yet he is one hard working young man and always on top of his work. Zach was a Red Wings fan, hockey , you know, hailing from Michigan. But he went to that Super Bowl with Jeremy and they had the time of their life. Sitting on top of the world !
Christian, Nick, Jason and Ian. I am going to miss watching these guys run and especially Nick. He has been running since middle school. He is just really tired and wants to focus on this last year of college and his grades so he can find a good job this summer. God willing.
It was a cold and windy Saturday in Sterling, Kansas watching my son run in the championship races. Going to miss those meets.
Always reading in the Book of James like my father did before me. The main reason I got into Premier designs was because I found a bracelet with part of these words on it and that sold me on their jewelry. I cherish that bracelet. My father followed the bible to the very letter ! He was one person that I never heard an unkind word fall out of his mouth. He was faithful, humble and kind. Never judgmental, in fact he taught me this, never judge a book by it's cover. I try really hard to live up to what he taught me.
If anyone thought Grammie Noelle went to the Dallas Cowboy game Sunday and didn't buy Harrison James a Dallas onesie, you don't know Noelle very well. This baby is a Dallas Cowboy, Denver Bronco and Green Bay Packer fan! What can I say, he loves football!
The Eveland Clan, Noelle and Roger and their kids and grandkids minus Harrison.
My folks would be so very proud of these kids and the rest of us too.
Rebekah and Zach went to Guenella Pass without us last weekend. They had a great time.
The three sisters, they love each other and their brothers too.
Grandparent love. This kid in the middle, Colton, has his own son today (Harrison James) but he never forgets us. It is a real blessing having grandkids. They are everywhere in our lives.
When it comes to P H A M I L Y we have been there, done that! Our lives have not be easy but it has made us depend on Jesus more.
I wish I could come across more childhood photos from my own youth. We hated to part with our friends. I have been very blessed. I have made good friends and stick close to them. My mom would always say, if we ran into a one time kind of friend, with a friend like her, you will never need an enemy. I am glad I paid attention to my own mother because she was very intelligent just like my dad.
Mother's Day 1980, funny when you take an outdoor picture the sun has to be glaring into your eyes. I sure miss my momma every day although it will be 15 years sine she went to be with the Lord.Noelle was a tiny toddler.
Call your mother if you are one of those people who still has her with you.

Tomorrow I will pick up on those friendships. I spend my days with dogs and cats and not many people around me. I love chatting so tonight I was blessed to have some conversations with various friends I have known most of my life. They are those rare gems, beautiful blessings, only God can be wise enough to put into your life. Until tomorrow...

Daily Thoughts

A Pinterest find for Aw....Mondays. These two love each other. Don't you wish we all could get along in our world? What a fine place it would be. Tell Sandee and all the participates hi today and share your favorites too. Monday's can be blue for some folks, so this will perk you right up with all the smiles you will find. Take care.
My grandson Colton is 20 years old. He has his own son Harrison James. But my hubby still has this photo on his desk at work. I sent this photo to Colton on Saturday. Although he was at work, he stopped to acknowledge me and said he loved the program Blues Clues which was a great kids program a long time ago. You can see the Blues Clues dog in the background here. He was blue and white perfect for Blue Monday along with the blue picture frame. Stop by and give Jeanne a Monday hello. She does a great job like Sandee keeping these posts up and running each week. Thank you ladies.
I shared this Love is... with you because you know I love these little comic characters, they have made me smile since the 1970's. But this one makes me smile because in our newspaper yesterday I found an article that said my city, Northglenn, is one of the hottest housing markets in the USA! No no! Now I know why that annoying realtor guy kept knocking on my door. He wants to buy my house! Well.....unless he can guarantee the same mortgage payment, and at least the same square footage for the price we paid we have to tell him N O everytime he bothers us! My little city is a sweet place to live. Quiet and these homes, built in 1964 are solid brick.  I do not want a house that costs $400,000 and has siding! Eeehewwwwwwww......when I can have durable brick that took time, effort and love to build! In fact, several years ago my hubby and I met an elderly gentleman in the grocery store. He started a conversation with us and asked if we lived in Northglenn. When we said yes, he said he was a retired brick layer and probably laid the brick for our home! I just do not want people with more money then us to come in here and bully their way by snatching our property out from under us! Many elderly folks still reside here and this kind of action is happening in older, beautiful neighborhoods in the Denver metro area. No matter how many "bad" stories I have heard about Five Points near downtown Denver the fact of the matter is, elderly black grandmothers were forced out of their homes by these yuppie types who tear their homes down and build these gawd awful Stepford looking houses that look like cardboard cookie cutter houses! U G H! This has also happened and is happening in North Denver which once held a large Italian and Hispanic population. Now elderly folks are being forced out for these wealthy youngsters to come in and steal their land. These people have no where to go. In Northglenn, a two bedroom apartment rents for $2,000 a month. In Denver, my goodness, I know the housing costs are astronomical. My girlfriend and her phamily have lived a great part of their lives in Park Hill. She said on her brother Teddy's block, only five original owners remain. Teddy told us that a crazy woman walked up to his neighbor, the good doctor's home and rang his bell saying "I am buying your home". The doctor said "Mad'am my home is not for sale." She said " I am going to buy your home" He said "Not for sale, goodbye." and slammed the door shut in her face! You see these older smaller, brick homes are goldmines. If you tear off the roof you can add another floor. Instead of 2000 square feet you will have 3000 and that my friends, increases the value of your home by thousands!
My hubby and I said we would watch the debate tonight, if the two stellar candidates had shock collars on to shock them every time they told a lie! They could set up a fact check machine too. When they lie about the "truth" they are telling, they could be shocked again! But instead, I have to pray for our country as the disrespect toward the American taxpayer is truly despicable. I believe there is nothing a man or woman will do to change the destructive course we are headed on. I trust God, people fail you every single time.
RIP Arnold Palmer. Tomorrow I will go to a place and order your favorite drink, the Arnold Palmer, half ice tea, half lemonade. Do you know that was invented here in Denver, Colorado? Arnold was in town and walked up to the bar and ordered it.  Telling the bartender he wanted a half lemonade half ice tea drink! A woman overheard him order the drink and said that is sounded good and she would have a Palmer too! I love that story. I am not a golfer, our youngest Nick is, so enjoy those Arnold Palmer's in heaven from now on Mr. Palmer. You were amazing on the golf course.
RIP to a fine young man. Raised in Cuba and defecting to the USA with his phamily, he became a US citizen in 2015. My father would smile when I saw talent like this young man had. Taken too soon, tragically in a speed boat accident. The words speed and boat together frighten me! I am not an extreme sport enthusiast.  But my heart break for his phamily, what a tremendous loss.
A beautiful young man, leaving his phamily, a girlfriend and their unborn child behind. The MLB fans are the super classiest people you can find at social media. While the NFL has become something of a mini Washington D.C. with their political mud slinging, the MLB has come together and showed support of the Marlin's organization, the phamily of Jose Fernandez and have kept their comments respectful.
My dad , as many of you know, was a semi pro baseball player long before he and my mom dreamed of having me. My two oldest siblings were tiny little ones back then,  He taught me everything good about life. He taught me about sports, which, like him, I love dearly. But he would be so sad to see the mess our country is in and he would shake his head at the sadness and hatred running wild in our country. We do need to come together and it will not happen if our media isn't held accountable as well as our government . They have certainly not taken much of a stand and I do not remember this much racial tension prior to the past eight years. It is really sad and our country seems to be going backward rather than going forward.

My folks were good and godly people. They did not hate anyone nor have hatred in their hearts. They raised all of their five children with love and kindness and faith, something sadly lacking in our country today. Just my thoughts.
This pinterest find says it all best regarding our country in distress today.
There is more wisdom in the word of God, then the entire world.

Blogger Changes and Welcome My World

Everytime I log on here I am afraid to look at what they are stealing from us now! It is awful how no one wants to let us enjoy blogging, but be afraid of the next thing on their chopping block!
This is how I feel when I come to blogger.
My morning sunrise. I love getting these early morning photo ops.
Some of my salt and pepper sets and a few teapots. I am excited for the Teacup Exchange. According to our hostess,  Stephanie there are 190 participating in this exchange. I am so excited. I am waiting to receive my partner's  infomation.
A shot of my bamboo plant for Edna. She was talking about replanting her bamboo plant and I knew mine was getting too crowded in the little planter. So I bought a dollar store glass bowl and river rock and voila- it seems happier now! I keep it hidden from Mr. Kitty
He literally destroyed my first bamboo plant. It was so tall and green and very pretty. I set it on the kitchen counter and he shredded it, tore it up and left it for dead all over my carpet! Sleepy kitty is naughty kitty!
I wasn't able to go to Pueblo with Noelle on Tuesday, so she brought me potica. I know I gained two pounds already eating this stuff! It is BoJon delicious. Thank you Mauro Farms for making this tasty stuff for me. Noelle also brought us kolabasi and kolabasi sticks from Frank's Market. Yum, Yum, Yum, BoJon soul food. I bought barley so we can make some barley with our kolabasi. My hubby prefers it with potatoes, bacon drippings and sauerkraut! Heavenly! I love my BoJon heritage!
A tiny boy in blue. This Harrison James makes my heart sing! I dance in circles when he is here, I float along like a cloud! Boy oh Boy does he make life worth living! Plus he is a brave boy, wearing a Denver Nugget onesie. Hee Hee Hee Hee! I bought him a phone that speaks English and Spanish. He is so smart pushing those buttons and switching from English to Spanish! It is for 18 months and older. HaHaHa! He is 7 months old and smart as can be!

 Until next time, sweet dreams!

Beautiful Blues and Such

It was hard to find the perfect share for Sandee and everyone at Aw...Mondays. This one is hilarious! We all know cats rule so this is tough on poor kitty.
This is funny, come on now, you laughed!
I think this feline would like a refund! Don't you just love those ears?
I took this quick shot with my iphone this morning as we walked our two miles at Margaret Carpenter Open Spaces. I like the way the sun is shimmering over that tree, then the shadow sits stately in front of it all. Blue skies are always good days. Tell Jeanne and the Blue Crew team that you saw some blue skies here and lots more!
Pink clouds look like sugary sweet cotton candy in the fading blue skies. I was taking some photos as the hubby drove us home from the store tonight. We waited until the Bronco game was over! Grateful to say they won! even if Andrew Luck and the Colts wore blue!
Love is...makes me smile and always has an appropriate message. I've been disgusted with the political arena the NFL has turned into. Instead of enjoying some football we now have to listen to everyone who  has a political opinion.  They need to act like winners instead of whiners.
My sister Pat was a tiny baby here. The pretty girl holding her is my mom's baby sister, Auntie Jo. I love having all these priceless black and white photos.
Auntie Ang on her wedding day, November 27, 1946 with her sister Anna. Auntie Ang was a real woman ahead of the times she lived in. She never conformed to what everyone else was doing. I loved her dearly and she was a hero to me for all the suffering she went through dealing with breast cancer. She was strong willed and gave me her ideals too. Always a blessing for me to share my loves here and my heritage. Those BoJon people had heart, they worked hard and set good examples for the younger generation. They believed in faith and phamily.
Three of my dad's sisters, Anna Kocman (Skender), Millie Kocman (Cosimano) and Stephanie Kocman (Samples). I just love my phamily. Glad I have so many photo shares. I am always grateful to receive more and share them here. Thanks for being here.
Until next time....sweet dreams!
