Happy Tuesday and Maxine Cracks Me Up with Tea Time Tuesday

 Happy Tuesday

Maxine is right on today! I know how she feels somedays. hahahaha

I know credit card companies like to keep your account secure but if you talk to a live rep. they want your life history to take a payment. I find that funny cause hey, if you would like to pay m y credit card bill, call me. hahahaha

Oh this hits home. At Wal-Mart too. If you check me out at the register why do I have to show Grandpa Johnny at the front door exit my receipt??? If I have to use a self serve check out why does Karen feel the need to breathe down my neck? Check me out girl, because I assume that is why they hired you!?

Pretty from Pinterest and Twitter.

Easter will be here soon and what a sweet teapot to share.  I think many of these pretty teapots are vintage shares at Pinterest.

Aw....Mondays and More

Aw...Mondays

Laughter is good medicine. We have had such cold weather and so much snow. I can not seem to shake these sinus and allergy issues.  So I like to enjoy some laughter.

Love is...always calms my mind and makes me smile. Avery has been slammed at work and he is always grateful to be working. But also thankful that the big job they have had going on two weeks is winding down.  When he is here, love is...about says it all with us.

Another Sparks to us of Annie and her introducing everyone to Sparks. Keep a positive attitude, be happy, kindness rules, do all things out of goodness and never in spite or hatefulness.

Happy Tuesday and Maxine Cracks Me Up

Happy Tuesday

A favorite golfer when I was young. I love this quote attributed to Lee Trevino. Let me say this, I am not a golfer although when we go to Top Golf I do better than a real golf course.

I love French fries occasionally but love sweet potato fries more Maxine!

Happy Presidents Day and Aw....Mondays

Happy Presidents Day for Aw...Mondays. I had to move our remaining flag to the backyard. The wind is so wild I do not want to risk losing it in these windstorms.  I need a new one for the backyard. When Hannah and Jake were here a few years ago he put up a new flag holder on the garage. I took our  tattered ole flag to Margaret Carpenter at the rec center where they have a special drop box for worn out flags.  The gentle souls at the VFW dispose of them properly and I am forever grateful for them all

Love is...has always told our story. I will always love this little comic meme.

I do not have a musical bone in my body but I love music and I love dancing. Friday I had lunch with Colton and Jacey and the kids. They had to stop by their credit union to pick up some new ATM cards. Shea had fallen asleep so Harrison and I stayed in the car with her. He shared some of his favorite music with me. I made a playlist just for the two of us years ago when he was so very small.  I added his new music to that list. He always fell asleep to the song "Me and Magdalena" sang by the Monkees and written by Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie. We would be quite rebellious if a phone call came in from a spammer/hacker. I taught him the words to "We're Not Going to Take it Anymore" by Twisted Sister and would sing it loud and proud into the phone. Those spam callers eventually stopped. I guess they did not like our taste in music.  A few years ago, Jayden, another great grandson shared his music with me and I made a playlist for us. You can learn so much from the younger generation if you  are patient and listen to them. I treasure my loved ones. I love to be with them and I am so grateful both Avery and I were raised to around our loved ones. I know so many people who do not have close ties with loved ones. I have done this music share before but it came to me today so here we go again. Please join in if you would like.:

Aw....Mondays

I never tire of seeing this photo of Trek, he belonged to Noelle and Roger and he could jump so high. He loved running in the snow.  We lost this precious boy ten days after the passing of Alastor Avery. 2019 was not one of our best years.

The Cat’s Diary

Day 983 of my captivity.

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities.

However, they merely made condescending comments about what a “good little hunter” I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of “allergies.” I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He has obviously gone mad.

The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now boy ten days after Alastor Avery's passing in 2019.

Sunning himself, no time for me.

A Sparks to share even though Annie is no longer blogging.

Lunch, Rebekah and her dad made Shepherhd's Pie last night. I added some cornbread this lunch hour. It was wonderful.

I started saving these Love is.... back in March 1976 when I met my husband. When we married in 1984 I gave him these each day and we recently came across the box filled with them. They are always so true.

Here is hoping you have a joyful week filled with goodness. We have more sunshine and heard the snow is heading snow of us so we are happy for the extra light.
