"Y" is for YOU!

Hello and welcome to Alphabe Thursday! Please stop by Mrs. Matlock's blog and thank her for hosting this awesome post! Just go to  Mrs. Matlock . Tonight I am giving you the letter "Y" and you are the star of my blog show!

I love you all so much! You stop and you look and then you read and listen! I love it! You are all number one in my book!

You all deserve a crown for being such good friends. You never let each other down. You are always around to lift us up!

I do not even know where to begin. I don't want to hurt any feelings so let me say this, you know you are the one who sent me the coolest vintage postcard for my exchange. You know you gave me super instructions on how to post a picture and make a button. You believed I could learn some of this blogging stuff. You stuck by me when the hacker/scammer/spammers attacked me! You taught me cool new stuff from your posts. You helped me realize I do have potential to craft and learn new stuff. You extended the kindest hand of sympathy to me over the loss of our little dog and the illnesses of my Mother-In-Law. You make me laugh. You make me cry. You share your faith, you share your talent. You make me a better person and you make my life a little bit happier just by being Y O U !

I want you in my life. I like knowing you. I like the things you write about. I like the things you create. I like you and I want to keep you around for a really long time.

A Poem

When I was younger I loved to write poetry. I have a phamily full of writers! But I never got published, like my middle daughter. I will share that poem with you sometime.

It is dark and dreary today. Rain on and off. I am grateful not to be in the sweltering heat that those of you who live back east are experiencing. I do pray that everyone will be safe and keep well hydrated. A drug rep told me yesterday that his mom was in Connecticut, where it was 103 degrees! She said it was awful.

I wrote this poem so I could keep my mind on my work and not think the terrible thoughts I have with someone I work with. She is awful. That is all I can say. I wrote this because I want to be in Heaven someday. I am not at all interested in going to the hot place so I need to think kind thoughts not awful ones!

Here is my little poem "Weather"

I don't like it hot
I don't like it cold.
I like it perfectly
in the middle of the road!

MY CASEY

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's Show and Tail! Please stop by Angela's.  Thank her for hosting this fun Tuesday fare!

Today I have a friend who I loved very much. His name was Casey and he was a cockapoo.  I received him as a gift from my sis for our wedding anniversary. He was the neatest little dog and he became my best buddy. He stayed with me through the loss of my unborn baby Rachel and he was always at my side when I had those awful neuro surgery's. He really understood me and one day in May 1991 he disappeared. He had just gotten groomed and he looked like a million bucks! I have never gotten over the loss of losing him. I think because I don't know if  someone took him in or if he were killed by a car. I looked for him in vain for a long time and my heart still aches when I think of him. He was a friendly fellow and he always knew home to make me smile.

Here are a couple pictures of him in his hey day.

He was the sweetest little dog and I have never found any pet after him to love me the way he did. Thanks for sharing this pet with me today and please visit all the Show and Tail participates.

RANDOM PHOTOS AND SUCH

I am posting some random pictures. We had to take a couple quick trips home to Pueblo and the kids were restless. They aren't todlders either! But we got some great shots.

Here goes:

My pretty hand stitched find from the thrift store for $1! I am going to have it re-framed as my friend will show me how to launder it so we can stretch it on a new frame! I am apprehensive but she is an old pro!

This is Matt. He is my nieces youngest son and he is posing at my sister's house with Bumblebee one of the three kitties she inherited from her granddaughter.

This cute guy is Gizmo. Isn't he sweet? Photogenic too.

This is Chompers. He is very shy. In the background is my sister's new super huge wood dining table that her daughter found for F R E E on Craiglist! Lucky sissy!

This is my late Ta Ta's house. Tata is SLOVEnian for Aunt. The house is on the flip side of my sister's home. I wish I had money to buy it. My Tata's grand daughter owned this house and her husband has cancer so they are selling to keep their bills paid! I have so many memories here. My Tata let me braid her long hair. I miss those memories so much.

The evening sky from our car window traveling North on I-25 from Pueblo.

My white Veranda plate does not do my topping justice! My sis created this yummy topping for burgers and dogs. Just slice an onion thin and add fresh or canned mushrooms and a few whole mild chili peppers. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and some oil and cook in a foil envelope on the grill or in a casserole on the oven or microwave. Yummy!

Some yummy sweet refreshing watermelon after a big day of 4th of July festivities! Yummy!

Don't bother the father while he is driving in four lanes of fast moving Denver traffic!

The papa and his little middle girl!
