I AM BLUE: BUT ALWAYS LOVE YOU!

I know you may tire of my stories of Boots but that kitty was such a dear friend to me. I am going to receive his ashes and bury some in n my yard. We have to work on the yard and what a tribute I can make to him. I am looking for someone to help me design a grave marker. The ones I am finding are absolutely unaffordable!
I will surround this final resting place with lovely flowers. How about these:

Pretty purple and blue columbines. Just a perfect mix for Blue Monday
A pretty blue bouquet for my friend. I know he would have loved to stop and smell these.
A peace rose for a peaceful resting place.

I hope you will join Marydon and Sally and show off your Love is.. favorites along with your favorite blues.

“The risk of love is loss, and the price of loss is grief. But the pain of grief is only a shadow when compared with the pain of never risking love.”
(Hilary Stanton Zunin)

Thank you for indulging me with my tremendous loss of Boots.

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my baby Duke 10 years ago & I still grieve for him. He was my companion for 18 years. We have a little place on our property that we call our "Kitty Garden". All we have for markers is 3 Hosta plants for 3 fur-babies we have lost. We have a small lacy fence around it & for all anyone knows it is just another garden.

He is romping happily in kitty heaven, Anne. One day ...

Your tribute is so sweet ... he will enjoy his final resting place & thoroughly enjoy the beautiful flowers you will share with him.

Losing a pet is losing a part of your heart & your family. Know that a smile will cross your face every time you think of him & all the joys that you shared together.

Have a loving day, Anne.

I'm glad you shared your blues today.

The loss of a pet is sometimes as deep as the loss of a family member.

Happy Blue Monday, Anne.

That is why I will never have another pet. The last one we had nearly was the end of both of us. There is too much grief and pain from people without adding pets. You sound like my sister, Joyce. She has her own graveyard for her pets. With little markers and she tends it all the time. Bless you both.

Darn it- I lost my comment! Anyway- I know what you are going through and I don't think I can ever have another pet and go through that pain of losing them again.

As far as a marker, how about one of those resin sleeping kitty pieces (statues) set on top of the resting place and then surrounded by flowers? That is what we did~ xo Diana

It's one of the toughest heartbreaks to lose one of our furbabies. When I lost my shih tzu, Samson, my neighbor brought over a beautiful flowering plant that I planted in a pot outdoors. I called it the Samson plant because it bloomed such glorious blue flowers. Plants are a wonderful way to remember them.

The flowers are beautiful. We have the ashes of two of our dogs and they will join us when we have our ashes spread someday. Thank you for stopping over at my For Your Tears blog. I know your heart is heavy and I think you should feel free to talk about your loss. Don't worry what others think.
