HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO MY HUBBY & ME

36 and counting....we are having a wonderful anniversary day. Our oldest Noelle posted a nice tribute to us at social media. Our middle Rebekah bought us a wonderful breakfast, Strawberry crepes, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fresh fruit and hash browns. Our oldest son Jeremy face timed us and Brody told us Happy anniversary about ten times. So far it has been great. The day is beautiful, temps will rise to about 70 and after a rain yesterday the skies are blue and gorgeous.
This was us then and this is us now:
We need our hair to be cut and my hubby forgot his shoes hahaha but we have had a good life. Sorrows and joy. Good times and bad but we made it this far and hope to continue to "keep on keeping on".  Thirty six years ago I was the one walking around without thinking straight. The day before my wedding, I was at my office. When I put the coffee on and failed to put the pot underneath, my coworkers and several of the doctors voted for me to go home and relax before my wedding.
Phamily photos are the best photos.  "Newlyweds became oldyweds and oldyweds are the reason phamilies work." -Author Unkown
If you knew our oldest son Jeremy, you would know his love of history. This was too funny not to share.

In case quarantine is troubling you, here is a photo to surely make you at least smile out loud! How Brody put those fancy underpants on over his clothes plus the fashionable underpants hat is funny in itself. Ah...good blackmail when he becomes a teenager. Blake is enjoying getting his fingers eaten by big brother. "Chains do not hold marriages together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years." Simone Signoret.
Did you have one of these bad boys? 1980 something cell phone. Lord, you needed two hands to hold it and it cost as much as a good steak to make a phone call on it! The eighties were strange but we were married and we learned so much.
God has great words to see us through all difficulties and walk with us in the joy too.
Love is...always on the right page. We are digesting our wonderful lunch courtesy of Noelle and Roger, the best patty melt couple ever. We had a nice lunch and got to stop by their house, three doors away to see her work office.  The day is going beautifully. Thanks for stopping by to say hello.
This is so beautiful and it appears the painting is done by Bonnie Rinier. Simply stunning.

Happy Anniversary! How do the years fly so fast!? We just celebrated 48 and we can't believe where all that time went. Saw on Woolly Mammoth blog about marriage is where 2 imperfect people make it work.....with plenty of ups and downs along the way. So right. Young ones need to know love isn't always fun and that there are some difficult days but you hang in through those times. The result is a happy life with a few bumps along the road. Keep celebrating.
