Thankful Thursday and more

This made me smile and laugh. We had these phones too. Lord have mercy, a bank loan was needed to keep it up and running.  We were thankful for the phone as we are today. So much to be thankful for.
Did you know original Twinkies would be here 100 years after you were gone? Yep, filled with lots of non healthy junk! But this was still a smile maker.  I guess as kids things were not so important to see the content of everything we ate and drank like Twinkies and Kool-Aid. Plus we played outdoors. We were not slaves to iphones or video games. We ran off everything we ate and drank. For a treat, I remember, although my mom was an excellent cook, she would buy a TV dinner. Oh how I loved those and today, they are about 1/4 of the size they were back then and 10 times more calories and junk in them.  Thankful I had all the experiences I had.
Five years ago on May 10th we welcomed Leo into our home. Leo is a special guy. He is kind and cares for the pups like he is their own dad. He makes sure they are always safe in the yard. He is a big breed so I worry he won't have as long a life as the pups will. That is what is sad about our pets. They become our phamily and we never want to see them leave. So I am going to enjoy every single day we can with this boy with a big heart.  He has always appreciated all the love he has been given here. We will continue that . Thankful Thursday is a good place to talk about Leo. So stop by and share some thankfulness with everyone too. Thankful for Leo every day.
The haircut meme's make me laugh. One of these days we can get haircuts. I am not worried. Thankful someone will cut my hair when I can get an appointment.
I May have shared these verses before but it seems everywhere I go someone is needing some extra encouragement. Thankful for all these blessings.

We can all use those verses at times.

Since i have not had a hair cut since 1994, i am not worried about that, either. My Sweetie, who is secretly a diva, can't wait!

How fun. Love the phone one and it's ever so true.

I never was a fan of all those awful sweets back in the day. Never liked them. Good for me.

Leo is a handsome pup. What a wonderful addition to your family.

I hope you had a fabulous Thankful Thursday, Anne. Love and hugs. ♥♥♥

Great perspective. I just now had to look up something powerful someone shared on Facebook: "For those of us feeling a bit stir crazy already -- Anne Frank and 7 other people hid in a 450 sq. ft. attic for 761 days quietly trying to remain undiscovered to stay alive. We can all do our part to keep everyone and spend a few weeks at home." And, I might add, without the luxury of modern electronic devices.
Yep, I remember helping mom shop for those TV dinners; the delicious decision which one to eat. (My favorite was the Salisbury steak w/ corn.)

I love the cartoon about the haircut. As kids, we could eat whatever we pleased because we played hard outside all day and shed any weight gaining calories that we might have on. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.
