Barbie for Pink Saturday

If you know me, you know I L O V E Barbie! Oh, I wish I had all the amazing original dolls from my childhood and beyond! Sigh! So I decided to share some of the new Barbie and friends in 2013 donning pink! This one is Birthday wishes Barbie. Isn't she pretty and dressed up in pink! She fits into our Pink Saturday theme! Stop by and say hello to Beverly and share some pink and visit some pinkies!

Here she is with more pink in the background. Look at all those sweet balloons!
This Barbie is from the International Collections of Barbies from different lands! Miss Barbie Mexico holds a little chihuahua in her arms! That sweetie looks like Roxanne!
These two Barbies are from the Silkstone Collection. The pretty pink lady is called Luncheon Ensemble Barbie.  Her blonde Barbie friend is wearing a little black dress for an evening of cocktails!
I saved my favorite for last! Midge, Barbies cute freckle faced redheaded friend turns 50 this year! So here is the dynamite duo together! They are always so perfectly coiffured and dressed in the lovliest outfits. Barbie looks pretty in pink while Midge is classic in her "shift" dress in minty green!

Now I am going to sell more Princess House so I can purchase all these wonderful new dolls in the Mattel Barbie collection!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you visit other pinkies and wish Beverly a terrific weekend too!

I really learned to love sewing when I was young by sewing for Barbies. I didn't know you sold Princess House- I still have my original Princess House dishes. I think they are about 35 years old..and still think they are pretty! xo Diana

Hi Anne what are we doing up so late. HA! I never played with Barbies but my little sister did and my daughters too. The ones you shared are so pretty. The Barbie and Midge dolls are adorable.

I am going to bed now. Goodnight my sweet blogging friend.

I never had a doll, even a Barbie. They are still around mostly in antique malls, but pricey. Trust all is well with you and family.

I love Barbie and I kept all of mine! Of course those were the days where all I had was a Barbie and a Skipper doll, no Midge or Ken. I love looking at them now all of their pretty dresses..Happy pink Saturday!

Yes, count me as one who wish I didn't give away my Barbie doll collection when I was younger because I thought I was too old for them. I love these new ones this year. The pink one in that gorgeous gown is awesome. I started to collect a few of the Barbies I remembered from my childhood and got a few to play with....lol I have two cases full of awesome "Fashion Avenue" clothes as well.
Happy Pink Saturday.

Carol

I still have my Barbie, Midge and Ken from my childhood. I had a cricket but I don't remember if she's in there too or not. Of course mine are not photo perfect! I like the Barbie in the dreamy pink dress!
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Barbies came out too late for me but my sister's kids had some of the first barbies and I have a few of them. They are a little beat up but it's pretty special having some of the first barbies. Take care, I'm following also. Do you have Facebook or Twitter or Google+. They are helpful to have and I would follow you on those platforms also. Take care, Linda

Sigh. I wish I hadn't sold my dolls. I had an old fashioned Barbie which I traded in for the new bendable and twisting Barbie. But I had Ken, Allen, Midge, Skipper, Francie, (It's getting harder to recall their names), Skipper's little boy friend and girl friend. Baby Kiddles. And, that little soft bendable doll with the white hat, red ball on top ... oh what was her name! Did I miss anybody? And, sadly, I got rid of all the clothes mom had made me for my Barbies and baby dolls. Oh. What WAS I thinking back then. :(
Anyway, I do enjoy thinking about them when I don't think too hard about it! ;)
Happy Pink Saturday (late)

\Thanks!
