Pink Saturday : Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month but we should remember each day the lives that are devastated and touched by this deadly disease. Today during our usual Pink Saturday post I am joining Beverly and all the other bloggy Pinks to honor the women who are fighting this terrible disease and remember those who have lost their battle. Personally I have lost my aunt, Ang to this disease as well as my friend Patty Kaupp. I know many women who have fought for their lives including my friends Ilee, Sherrie, Teresa, Barbara and Nancy. Please say a prayer for each one today and remember to take care of yourself .

I would also like to tell you to join some Pinks today. Please join Marian at her blog and check out the fun things she has over there. I am really enjoying her pink pretties. Thanks for stopping by.

Hi Anne, love those roses for the pink breast cancer fight. I too have been touched with family and friends who have had cancer and some who have passed on from that dreaded disease. We must not give up the fight to find a cure. Your post is a great reminder.

There's a lot of focus on breast cancer awareness - I was amazed to go to the Tractor Supply for feed the other day, and the Purina horse and chicken feed is now packaged in BRIGHT PINK, and with every purchase money is donated to research....amazing, huh? My horse will be shocked at the pink packaging!

Hello!! Thanks for stopping by Debbie-Dabble and all of you sweet somments!! i am playing catch up too as I am back to work.
Sounds like your children were the ones brought up with wonderful ideals and they will be the ones to rise above the rest. I have been there when my boys were younger. Now they are out on their own and leading good lives with decent jobs. Thank God we all still have jobs.

Prayers for your family,

Cancer in any form is horrible.

...but breast cancer seems to take those that are loved and so needed... The mom's and the remarkable women.

I hope they find a cure soon.
