Aw....Mondays and More

Aw....Mondays hoping you join Sandee and friends to share into Monday's blog hop. When I worked, at least in the last five years, it was hard to get up and go to work.  The toxic work environment was too  much to handle and SONday was a day of counting the hours until I dreaded going to bed and waking up for another week in aa difficult job. Always being a grateful soul, it was tough and I did not like complaining to anyone so I bottled it up. The first months of being without that job were tough. I felt resentment and bitterness and realized quickly how much harm I was doing to myself and my loved ones. Grateful today to be free from that hateful noise and the people who made it difficult. Always grateful for the few wonderful friendships I did form. These regal animals make me smile whenever I see them. Alastor Avery loved them and I will still go to the Denver Zoo and see them and say "Hey Mike, Mike, is it Wednesday? These lovely creatures are Masai giraffes and they are primarily located in Tanzania and Kenya. They are part of the endangered species.

Having spent the past three days with the hubby it is always hard to see him go back to work. But life is funny that way and we are grateful he is working and enjoying our time together, when we can.

A   S M I L E to brighten your day, in case Monday isn't your favorite day of the week.

Someone dressed this girl up in Denver Bronco colors. It is funny because they are not Bronco fans. This little one is so serious.  She was visiting SONday. Stop by myjustsostory.blogspot.com and share Sunday Select.

Where there are toys, you will find these boys. Harrison had to spend some quality play time with these cousins so it was a good day. Harrison was so nervous that the brothers would nap too long and he would not get to see them. He was overjoyed when the phone rang to say the boys are ready to play.SONday can be a fun day too!

Leo is a great chaser of many things, balls and birds and rabbits had been his specialty.  He is little more chilled out these days but he still gets a kick out of seeing a ball flying through the air. I talk to him all the time. You'd be surprised how helpful a dog can be. Plus he doesn't demand millions of dollars to play. or answer questions.  Since we have all the pups and Leo this Laugh Out Loud made us laugh out loud.

A kindness quote for Annie

These words are so truthful . It makes me so sad to see  how once sweet people have turned against kindness and chosen hate.   We reap what we sow. I want to sow kindness. It is hard most days dealing with the insanity of the world but you need to be aware. You just do not have to act hateful on it. Never let anyone poison your peace and then guilt trip you for being fed up.

I hope you visit Kristi and Friends

1. I am always grateful and thankful for the hours in a day to accomplish so many tasks and enjoy some quiet time.

2. Tea: I love tea and I switch between tea and coffee. I love herbal.  I use a collagen in coffee (not so tasty with my tea) so thankful I have all these choices

3. I am not a techie and have simple and basic computer skills. But I found out how to navigate the free grocery pick up and had one today. Thankful for that free service.

4. Kindness: I am so thankful for kindness and go out of my way to make sure I thank those that have served me. (i.e. girl at grocery store loading my purchases into the car).

5. Reading favorite books and finding new ones to add to my reading list. My two and a half  year old grandson is learning how to read. Melts my heart.\

6. Gin Rummy: Most every night before bedtime the hubby and I play Gin Rummy. He wins more then me but we have fun and that makes me thankful!

7. Uncluttering: Thankful I can unclutter on my terms and not have to read a book on how to do this (hahaha). Some things are self explanatory so I am thankful I have the options to unclutter at my own pace.

8. Shoes: I use to have more shoes but now I have comfy shoes and boots. But I sure love them.  Thankful I have shoes on my feet when necessary.

9. Fall weather: Thankful the weather is changing and the cooler nights are grand for sleeping. I am very thankful for this.

10. Worship: Thankful I may worship my Creator.  I spend many hours in the day in prayer and I love reading my older books written by kind hearts like Elisabeth Elliot and Mary Crowley and Amy Ireland. Thankful to be alive and enjoying my life.

As I get ready to lay my head down to rest and hopefully fill my head with sweet dreams, I want to say thank you for all who stop by. I will be around this week trying to catch up on commenting because it is important to me. I have participated in a blog hop since 2010 and recently the comments are apparently closed because there is no way to comment. I tried contacting the host to no avail. Very sad because I always commented back as a courtesy and as a result made some amazing friends, namely all of you here. I guess they either shut off the comments with no message or just does not want commenting. I love it so please comment when you stop by. Commit a random act of kindness today and everyday.

Oh those kind of jobs are awful. I remember. Not worth it health and mental health wise.

Always enjoy hearing and seeing your wonderful family.

Awww on the giraffes. They are such regal animals.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week, honey. Big hug. ♥

Those little cutes are adorable! Our Dad always liked his job except for the last 2 years, which is why he retired 2 years early.

Aw, I'm sorry that blog hop closed without notice. Don't you hate abrupt endings? What you said about the last few years at your job absolutely mirrors my own. I only stayed because the pay and benefits were better than most -- but at such a cost to my own mental health. I wonder if God sometimes makes things so unbearable we have no choice but to turn away, and heal ourselves.

I love your thankful list. I think it is amazing your grandson is already learning how to read. I am working with my 4 yr. old great niece on letter recognition so it is going to be quite a while for her. Great spark and I love the photos. XO

I too unclutter on my own terms and in my own time. It seems the best approach at this stage of my life.
I got rid of a lot of shoes after realizing they were just taking up space and I was basically down to wearing just certain ones, because the rest weren't very kind to my feet anymore.
I have not yet tried the free grocery pick up, but I know that has been a lifesaver for many.
