A FEW SONDAY FUNNIES

Billy Graham was returning to Charlotte after a speaking engagement and when his plane arrived there was a limousine there to transport him to his home. As he prepared to get into the limo, he stopped and spoke to the driver.

"You know" he said, "I am 87 years old and I have never driven a limousine. Would you mind if I drove it for a while?"

The driver said, "No problem. Have at it."

Billy gets into the driver's seat and they head off down the highway. A short distance away sat a rookie State Trooper operating his first speed trap. The long black limo went by him doing 70 in a 55 mph zone. The trooper pulled out and easily caught the limo and he got out of his patrol car to begin the procedure.

The young trooper walked up to the driver's door and when the glass was rolled down, he was surprised to see who was driving.

He imediately excused himself and went back to his car and called his supervisor.

He told the supervisor, "I know we are supposed to enforce the law... but I also know that important people are given certain courtesies. I need to know what I should do because I have stopped a very important person."

The supervisor asked, "Is it the governor?"

The young trooper said, "No, he's more important than that."

he supervisor said, "Oh, so it's the president."

The young trooper said, "No, he's even more important than that."

The supervisor finally asked, "Well then, who is it?"

The young trooper said , "I'm  pretty sure it's Jesus, because he's got Billy Graham for a chauffeur!"

This cute little story from 2006 was everywhere and I loved it! Billy Graham was a first class gentleman, something so rare in our world today.

I wanted to share this because it is so simple and light hearted.

This is a very true statement and it applies to all canine and feline fur babies worldwide! Today is the second anniversary of the loss of Bandit. Jeremy had him from the time he was in high school until November 8, 2018. My photos are not loading so I will have to find out why. So for now I will say, I miss my little friend. He was black and white like a tiny tiny cow. He had the pointy ears and his hearing was perfect until the day the left this earth. He was a rat terrier and I believe he may have been the runt of the little but he was so smart. He was a marvelous little dog and he cherished Jeremy with his whole heart. About four years ago I was blessed to take him to a check up appointment with the vet. The vet said he did not think Bandit would live through the summer. Well, he sure fooled that foolish old doctor.  His sight did fail but he never lost the love he carried in his heart. We all miss him and he was the only braveheart to nap in Roxanne's little bed two weeks after her passing.

Bandit is wearing the red scarf and I need to have this photo reedited. He was a proud little dog and his heart was pure gold. Missing you always my little friend. You gave us 18 years to be with you. We lost Roxanne on 11-02-2013, Bandit 11-08-2018 and  Rose 11-10-2019.  I will write more about them as these days pass by. It is still hard.

For all the phamily who thinks my cat is a jerk here is photo to prove you all wrong. He took such care of Roxane during her last months of life. He was new to our tribe and he knew instantly she needed a special friend.  He was so kind and gentle to her, this little photo makes me smile when I see it. He was torn when she passed away. He howled into the night air and he was inconsolable. Perhaps losing his one true friend made him the ornery fellow he is today,
Rose was that same friend to Boots. The day he passed away, her birthday, she carefully groomed him for the last time. What a gem she was. She was a friend to Nick for 15 years. What a beauty she was even in her sickness, suffering from kidney disease, she loved that kid! Missing all of you sweet fur babies today and always,

One reason a dog can be such a comfort when you're feeling blue is that he doesn't try to find out why. ~Author Unknown

I'd forgotten that Billy Graham joke, but laughed just as hard as the first time I read it. Love that you keep your furbabies' memories alive. The ache that's left in our hearts is unlike anything I've experienced. Hugs!

I just love that story about Billy Graham. And yes, cats and dogs (and all animals) tend to take care of each other. A lesson for all humans to live by. You have a wonderful day my friend, hugs, Edna B.

Love that Billy Graham joke. I've heard it before, but it made me laugh just as hard this time as the first time I heard it.
