Backward: Feline Friday and Friendly Fill In's

A snowstorm yesterday put me out of  sorts. My neighbor stopped by, saying our tree was again touching the power line and possibly causing problems. Still waiting to hear from the  power company. We did what we could without touching that live line but it is sad that service is nonexistent anymore. I know many trees were broken and falling yesterday . Fortunately Kristy, our neighbor has a pole saw with the rubber grounding so she will help us once the snow melts away.

We also had the solar people here Thursday. Of course, the big storm yesterday hindered the completion of the rewiring of the electrical work. Murphy's Law....it never tells a fib!

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:17-18)

“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” (2 Corinthians 4:8-9)

“You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” (Psalm 32:7-8)

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalm 9:9-10)

Murphy might be right but God never fails me.

Please join  Feline Friday even though I am running so late. I feel exactly like this feline. Life is hard, my mother would tell me, PRAY harder! When days are difficult I sure miss my mom.

Ellen and Lorianne co host this blog hop. I am just skipping to my fill in's today since I am so late. Thanks ladies, you always do a great job of sharing your thoughts here with us.

My answers:

1. I wish I knew how to play Solitaire. My mother and my auntie Ang sat opposite each other and spent many evenings playing Solitaire together. I would love to have a buddy to play with like they did.

2. If offered a free trip to space I would decline. I am not a fan of confined spaces . Claustrophobia hit me hard after my first neurosurgery.

3. Being with my loved ones is the most exciting thing in my life right now.

4. I could give a long lecture on the topic of  " I will pass on this one". I like my life exactly the way it is. I don't need any validation from others on things I know . Too many differences of opinions in this world. No thank you!

I am a homebody, pure and simple. Not many places I am interested in visiting. There was a time I had a bucket list . The last time we traveled via airlines, I was totally turned off by the unprofessional attitudes of the attendants and the cheapness of the airlines for the outrageous prices they charge. If I had money to travel, I would have someone take the hubby and I all over the USA in a luxury motor home.  I like my life but I still can dream.

When someone  asks to meet for lunch, I am not interested in socializing . I use to love it. Now I love my privacy. I'm very happy with everything I Need right in front of my nose. Plus I am in a place where I want to eat healthier. I also have gotten very picky about who I see and where I go.

Have you ever outgrown people? I think sometime you see a different side of people and you both change too much to continue to the friendship. Today have two lifelong friends I will always keep in touch with.  I had 6 friends who I lost since 2010 , three of them in 2010, including Laura,  Mollye in 2014 and two of them, including Vivian in 2018. The sadness of their losses is only Laura, Mollye and Vivian really stayed true to me.  We all change and realize we have nothing in common anymore. Life is hard, my mother would tell me to PRAY harder!

I did not mean to make this so long. I think often I write lots of things because they weigh on my mind and I like to write them out. I suppose I could be secretive and write inside a diary or journal but I have had high hopes for these blogs so I will do it, as the song says, "My Way".

I have lost at least five best friends. I guess that is one of the worst things about getting old. Gosh, I hope the tree situation gets fixed soon.

That's a tricky tree situation you have there. I love the snow pic of the tall evergreen covered with new snow. Please don't send it here. I'm wanting some warm spring temps so that I can sit outside. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Yeah...I have lost friends...and I prefer to think of it as "The Seasons of Life"....That's life, I guess...and I am like you, I prefer to be home...unfort...since we have been in lock down for the past year, I am ready to get moving again. Literally, get moving --out of NY. LOL

ANYWAYS, have a beautiful weekend. smiles

I'm that kitty. I'll get with it soon. I love your fill-ins and we're both the same about people. We've pretty much taken them off the board. We just say it's just the two of us. The drama is something I don't care for one bit.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous and blessed Sunday, Anne. Big hug. ♥

Snow can sure be a problem, especially with that power stuff. I enjoyed your answers. Yes, friends come and go, but mostly seem to go these days.

Such wise words ... reflections, whatever. I wonder if you realize how many resound with me. So thankful for having had the opportunity to travel extensively in my 30's and 40's. There's no place I'm longing to go and for sure wouldn't want to fly with those employees' attitudes running amok. Sad to think, this is our little grandchildren's 'normal.'

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. No space for me either. And I know exactly how you feel about not wanting to socialize. I pretty much only socialize with my family. XO
