ALPHABE THURSDAY

I missed last week. So I am combining my "L" post with my "M" post. Come visit Jenny. She works hard to pull off these weekly meme's and she does a lovely and marvelous job!
So today I say "L" is for LaLaLa or Falala, you deck the halls and all that great holiday stuff! L is for the love in your heart this Christmas season. The loveliness of the holidays with all the wonderful twinkling lights and fun falala's! Lighting the Christmas candles and listening to lovely music. Loading your car with gifts to give and food to bake and  enjoy! Finding someone lonely to share the season with. Learning the true spirit of Christmas is not the "gimmees" but the giving. It is sharing a moment with a lonely soul who has no where to go. It is longing for the child within all of us to come out to play. L is for life, and for making the very best of it the very best way we know how.

I love the M and M commercial where the lady is sitting on the sofa and tells her hubby to get the snacks. He opens the cupboard and the M and M guys start throwing snacks at him! He says "Get in the bowl" and they snap back, "You get in the bowl!" It makes me smile each time I see it. I had to share it with you.

"M" is for miracles. I am certain a pre Christmas miracle occurred when we found our home. I think the good Lord singlehandedly made it happen. I think this season is so beautiful and full of Christmas miracles. It is always warm and wonderful when miracles occur.  Recently a local t.v. station aired a story about the Boys and Girls Club and their sad holiday due to donations being down. People listened and they filled their warehouse with hundreds of new toys for kiddos all over the city.Giving hope and happiness and some marvelous memories for kids who otherwise would get nothing. The spirit of Christmas is alive and well. We need to see past all the politically correct junk and  get down to the basics and the truth about Christmas. It is the season to celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Savior. It is a season full of miracles happening somewhere at sometime and often the news media inundates us with threats of terror reports and we see all  the corruption in our government. Anything to take our minds off the truth. Don't lose the true spirit of Christmas. You can make miracles happen each day. Kindness does exist in our world, we need to look right in front of us sometimes to see the beauty of miracles and the wonder of love and happiness.
Enjoy the internet images I am showing you here.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Happy New Year!

I agree. We have to be the miracles...by letting God work through us. Thanks for the reminder!

Dear Anne, What a thoughtful and beautiful post. This message in particular touched my heart: 'Finding someone lonely to share the season with'.

What a lovely person you are. Inside and out. You make the world a better place by being in it.

I am proud to know you, dear lady.

Sending many warm wishes your way for a 2011 filled with discovery and joy.

Thank you.
