Happy Tuesday and Tuesday Show and Tails and More

I am happy because today is Tuesday and that makes it Happy Tuesday This is my cool cup/soup mug that Jake's mom Christine gave me with an assortment of Buffalo, NY related items. I just had my lunch in it. I made a batch of Broccoli and Cheese Rice-A-Roni. I like to add fresh cut broccoli to it but did not have it so drained a frozen package instead and it was still good. Did you know today is Buffalo Soldiers Day?
When I woke up today I looked like this! Then I realized it is Happy Tuesday so I put on a happy face and here I am. I have already brought my trash cans up since it is Trash Day but waiting on the Recycle Truck since we have two recycle cans too. They were full to the brim.  This photo reminded me of kindergarten. I was shy, I know, you can not believe that hahaha! But I was! The teacher was talking and I cupped my hands over my mouth and stuck my tongue out at her. Unfortunately at that point in my life, I had not learned to close my cupped hands! Oops!  Yeah, that was me, sitting in the the same chair like this grumpy girl! But at Catholic school, a lady never sits without properly crossing her ankles while wearing a skirt or dress! Oh those old memories pop into my head and I write them out.
Oh Maxine, can I relate to you! Thursday they are going to install the solar panels. My neighbors all around me have them and say they cut their utility bills tremendously. Plus in Colorado it is the law unless you want to pay double or triple utility bills! We were originally scheduled for another day but there was a lack of communication on their part so it was rescheduled.
RaeAnne Thayne shared this so I wanted to share it. She is a great writer with a kind heart.  I won a giveaway she had and she personally talked with me over the personal messenger.  Speaking of winning...
My friend Anna Maria Campbell Brown has a LuLaRoe clothing boutique called That Chic Community. She asked us to tag three friends to invite to her group and I invited Noelle, Brittany and Lucy, my daughter, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law. Considering today is the tenth anniversary of the burial day of my late mother-in-law Rita Blackwell Robinson I wanted to especially brighten Lucy's day. But I had no idea that Anna selected these three ladies to get a $25 gift certificate to use in her boutique. Talk about lucky ladies! My daughter and daughter-in-law are Lula pros like me! Hee Hee Hee! But we all love pretty things to wear. So that happened and made me smile. Lucy cared for my MIL with Alzheimer's to the end of her life. She treated her like a rare orchid. Perhaps she thought of her mom as a rare gemstone. My MIL was cared for with grace and dignity. I will be forever grateful for Lucy for that.
That is my mother-in-law as a small girl with her baby brother Bud. He still lives on the farm and his oldest son plans to take it over. Monty and his wife are remodeling Grandpa and Grandma Blackwell's house. What wonderful memories.

Although they are extinct dinosaurs fascinate people today. They had some huge tails so I thought they would fit perfectly for my memories of Tuesday Show and Tails.  This photo is so peaceful.

What a fun and happy post. I love Maxine. That's about right when it's very hot. I hear our air conditioner running right now. It's hot.

The little girl is cute and I've been in trouble like that. Yes we were both told the proper way to sit when you're wearing a dress. The old ways were good.

Love the old picture of your mother in law and her brother. Adorable little ones.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday, Anne. Big hugs. ♥

I don't have any LuLaRoe clothes becaue I'm very cheap but I love the looks of them.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today and leaving a comment. It made it happy Tuesday there too :)

Trying again to post. Stupid thunderstorms. :)
You're sure a clever girl, linking up "Tails" with the dinosaurs. BTW, I love that soup mug! So cozy, things just taste better in certain containers. Don't you think? Presently, I'm on the look-out for a whimsical bowl for my 'everything but the kitchen sink' salads. That's a hysterical story about your getting caught sticking your tongue out at the teacher. Do your kiddos know that story?
Hope you're enjoying a SWEET evening!

Yes, I can relate to the little girl. When I wake up, that is me! I need some time to become normal. Some days are hot and we need the air-con, some days the fan will be enough.

Anne,

The story of you as a child sticking your tongue out at the teacher behind cupped hands made me laugh. Oh the things we did and remember. I'm sure you weren't laughing when the teacher found you out but today that really is a treasure. Thanks for the giggles, my dear!

I didn't realize that some places mandated solar panels on your house. Hmmm, I thought about them but couldn't afford them at the time. Let me know how yours work out. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.

I love rice-a-roni. It is very scarce in our area since COVID. XO

Your rice-a-roni lunch sounded yummy! Our AC has been cranked up this summer, and boy-oh-boy did it show in our electric bill. Thanks for that final quote. It was needed today.
