Kentucky Derby Hats

Is this the over the top Kentucky Derby hat?!? Pink Flamingo and all! Whew!

Here is a pretty pink Kentucky Derby Hat! I like this style! Very chic!

This is a classic to me! I like the polka dots with the wide brim and bright pink style with white flower accent!

This one has some mystery! OOhhh....Ah.ah..

Look at those feathers! Elegant! The pink hat looks like she might have had a few mint juleps and bet a few dollars on the race!

This my Pink Saturday Post courtesy of google images! I hope you will thank Beverly our gracious host at http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/.She does an excellent job each week coordinating this post. I have to say, when I was brand new to all of this, I kept asking her if I could participate and then I would chicken out! Boy did I miss a lot of great times! But I am having them now! There are so many pink posts you can visit. I am having a hard time catching up week to week! But this week check out http://purplegoatlady.blogspot.com/. Barbara will, make you smile! :) If you don't smile, you must not be an earthling! There are many wonderful talented people out there with wonderful stories to tell, great craft ideas to share and lots of good honest down home company to be acquainted with!

As for me and my fascination with the Kentucky Derby Hats, many of you know I am trying to organize a tea party for my girls. The Kentucky Derby is one event I never miss! I have watched the races with my family since I was a small child. Now that we have HGTV we can close our eyes and truly feel like we are there on the track when the horses run! I love the hats the women wear and my tea party is going to be full of pretty hats! Please come join Pink Saturdayif you do not already participate. You will not regret it!

Have a wonderful Springtime weekend and enjoy the time you have blogging along!

Anne,

These are amazing and no wonder that you have a hard time passing them up. Who wouldn't love a great hat. My favorite believe it or not is the first one. I'd wear it!

Don't forget to stop by my blog for a last chance opportunity to join in some book giveaways. One ends tomorrow. They are on my side bar to the right.

Hi Anne,
LOVE those hats! Actually, I think the reason they invented Mint Juleps was to help people understand and appreciate the hats!(a hat always looks better after a few Juleps!;)
Have a Happy Happy Pink Saturday!
Sparkly hugs,
Tobi and the Pixies!

Those are fun hats! I saw a picture of some ladies in the paper last week with some hats on for Easter that I thought were big, but not compared to these!

Ah! Derby hats are so fun to see! Our younger daughter was a Derby princess in 2008, and was blessed to go to so many of the events and have a special Derby hat created for her, along with the other 4 princesses. :o)

Mr. B and I live in Georgia, so we were only able to share the special night at the Derby Ball to see her all dressed in her special Cinderella-style gown.

Blessings & Aloha!
(still trying to work my way through Mrs. Matlock's L list!)
