A Happy Tuesday to everyone! A collage of us from Easter 2022. It was a wonderful time. Today, I switched my blog posts up. I did not sleep Sunday night so I barely posted Monday's Aw...Mondays at My Tata's Cottage. I thought I would put up my Happy Tuesday post here.

Feline Friday and Pink Saturday
Pink Saturday I don' t have this Precious Moments girl who says "Have your cake and eat it too." Isn't she pretty in pink?
Wishing each one of you many beautiful Easter blessings.
Always good to have a prayer. Heading out to my mammogram and bone density. I will be by to visit later.
Thankful Thursday
A shout out to my cousin Ce's husband Mr. Tom Sanders, who was my Earth Science teacher in 1971 when I was transferred to Central High School after the Catholic schools closed. He gave me an interest in science that I never had before. He was fresh out of college and a soft spoken gentleman. I Learned a lot from him. For that I am very thankful.

Although lupini beans are more from the Italian culture, I learned to love these little tasty snack treats when I was a kid. Mount Carmel Catholic Church in my hometown had an annual Summer Bazaar. You could buy a cup of these for a quarter. ah...those were the days. I usually buy these at Lulu's Farmers Market in Brighton, Colorado these days but since I can not get there until this weekend, I ordered a jar from amazon.com I grew up on this stuff and still love it today. Very thankful for my knowledge of my own heritage, my husband's Irish heritage on his dad's side and my aunt, my dad's oldest sister, who catered weddings, political events and all the banquets when I was a kid. She married an Italian man and therefore I learned so much about good Italian food. Thankful for all those I loved who have left this old earth.Tuesday, April 12, 2022

TUESDAY
A case of the torn smoker cover.
This squirrel may be happy but I was miffed as he must be the culprit that tore the smoker cover to shreds! He sits outside my bedroom window at the same time each day. I am guessing he likes to taunt me with his quick moves and ornery nature!
This squirrel is nosey and very busy. He likes staring at me from my bedroom window. He seems to be quite HAPPY!
Maxine shares her opinions everywhere. She is a favorite here. That poor little dog!
I love tea and sharing tea time info here makes me smile and it makes me very HAPPY!
Stop by to see the folks that participate in the blog hops here. Happy Tuesday to you!

Feline Friday
I don't have a photo of Thackery, but my friend Anne in Texas lost her sweet boy. She and her husband adopted him from a reputable shelter but his condition was not fully disclosed. Tens of thousands of dollars later, they did everything they could to take care of this precious boy. He was the child they could never have. The few years he was their phamily,. he had a very good life. He had the run of the house. He was the king of his castle. She is so broken. Please say a prayer for her. With the loss of Ellen's sweet boy Sammy, I like to think those two are enjoying running free at the Rainbow Bridge, free of pain and suffering.

Rebekah and Hannah lost a dear friend, Ryan to stomach cancer. He would have turned 34 years old one day after Rebekah in June this year. He is survived by his wife Taylor and a loving phamily. That is a wicked disease. My grandmother passed away from it. I saw what it does to a person and I was still a child. My mom's youngest sister was in her early fifties when that dreadful disease took her life . My friend Chris lost her husband Martin, at age 33 also and he left her too soon with two young children. Pray for Ryan's loved ones please.
Nick found out his track coach from Cowley College passed away from ALS. Coach Phillips was inducted into the Kansas Athletic Hallof Fame in 2020. He had just retired and was looking forward to new phamily times with his loved ones. Here are some photos from Nick's track and field days with the Cowley Tigers:
Nick's favorite memory of the Coach was the itenirary he would create. That is Coach Phillips on the far left of the photo at the bottom. He would say you have to be on the bus at 6:28 A.M. Nick did not believe it until he saw two kids walking to the bus at that time and the Coach told the driver to pull away. He taught them respect and how to be timely and how to keep their grades up so they would never be kicked off the team. They never were late and they never lost their spot on the team! He took them to NYC to run indoor track at the Armory in March 2013 as we were blessed to go there with Jeremy, Hannah and Avery and myself. What a wonderful trip that was .
I still have my Cowley Tigers shirt.
