Good evening! I am very late posting but had a camera issue so I spent the day restoring some things and catching up with my blog hopping.
But I want to share a favorite Scripture with you. My parents loved the 23rd Psalm. In fact, their headstone at the cemetery is craved with the 23rd Psalm. It is something that often comforted me when I was younger and I still enjoy it today.
I hope you will thank Ginger and Charlotte here. They do a wonderful job making sure the link works and checking in on our posts. I appreciate all of you and you all really write beautifully. Thank you for sharing.
I am posting the 23rd Psalm but ask prayers for the following people: Monica, Rita, Sarah W., Hank, Rusty and Mary. Thank you and enjoy this evening and your week. Blessings to all of you!
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.-- KJV
I hope you enjoy the google image. I like this portrayal of Christ. He looks so happy and peaceful walking along with the sheep at his side.

Hi Anne, I am so glad you joined us for Spiritual Sunday, even if a little later than you planned :)
The 23rd Psalm is so precious, and so is the image you chose to use.
When I was a child, I just thought this poem was about death. I guess because I heard it recited at funerals. It is about so much more.... God bless.
When my mom was in hospice - I read this over and over and over to her... It meant a lot. sandie
The one chapter of the bible I know my heart. Learned it as a child and over the years this Psalms has brought so more comfort to me.
By the way, really got a smile out of your "love is"... someone to act goofy with.
Blessings,
Linda J
You found a beautiful painting to go with that verse too...
Psalm 23 is my favorite chapter in the entire Bible. My mom had a gold-plated plaque with the whole chapter embossed in it hanging in our bathroom.
Thanks for sharing...
We just had a sermon on Psalms this last Sunday. Thank-you so much for sharing.
God Bless,
Ginger
