Z IS FOR ZIP-A-DEE-DO-DAH

Welcome to Alphabe Thursday . Please stop by and say hello to your favorite teacher Mrs. Matlock. You may find her here.

I am posting Z is for Zippity Doo Dah! DO you remember the song? It will stick in your head once you start singing along with it! Here are the words: The song is actually titled Song of The South

 Zip-A-Dee-Do-Da, Zip-A-Dee-ah!
My, Oh my what a wonderful day!
Plenty of sunshine heading my way,
Zip-A-Dee-Do=Dah
Zip-A-Dee-ah!

Mr. Bluebird on my shoulder,
It's the truth, It's actch'll
Ev'rything is Satisfactch'll
Zip-A-Dee-Do-Da,Zip--Dee-Ah!
Wonderful feeling, Wonderful day!

This catchy lil tune will have you smiling in no time at all! I love the old music from the good ole days. I know now what my folks were talking about. I hope you liked my "Z" choice today.`

There was a Disney cartoon of the Song of the South. It's not PC and published anymore.

Hi Anne,

Now that you've reached the letter "Z" what will you do? Will you start all over again? :) :) :) You are so smart to find all these things that start with the different letters of the alphabet..and that song Zipadee do-dah...I like that ...such a happy song!!! Love and hugs, Heather :)

LOVE this song Anne, and LOVE the movie too! I think it's a shame, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you can buy this movie in our own country! Yet we can buy Gone With The Wind. We can buy North and South... And here you have a wonderful story with wonderful actors and characters. I really wish Disney would put this one on DVD, don't you?!! ~tina

I always think of my dad when I hear this song--belting it at the top of his lungs, echoing off the canyon, riding his horse. Thanks for a good memory!
