WHO'S THERE?

I had a tough day today. You might have thought yesterday was a holiday! HeeHee. But I tried to pull some zoo photos from my laptop and I am having some technical difficulties, so instead I am sharing some internet images of one of my favorite creatures, owls.

I think owls are unique and I bet they never ever have neck problems! They are designed so exquisitely that I would like to ask the Good Lord how he decided to create them. Owls are fascinating creatures and some cultures believe they represent wisdom. Others believe they represent doom and death. In my phamily, I have always heard that having owls in your home bring good fortune. Well I do not recommend bringing live owls into your home but I have seen some beautiful photographers of owls as well as collectible items like salt and pepper shakers and figurines. There are many types of owls but in North America some you might recognize are barn owls, the snow owl,  spotted owl and the great horned owl to name just a few. Now please slip over to Angela's and join the fun at Tuesday's Show and Tail!

There are somany fascinating facts about owls as well as interesting folklore but today I want to show you some beautiful images and hope you will stop by

Hey Anne!

Sorry to hear that you too are having problems with your computer!

These owl pictures are just awesome! You know you don't really think about the fact that there are so many different types of owls just like there are of birds.

A few years ago I was driving home and seen one sitting right beside the road on a fence post. I stopped right there beside it. It just sit there and watched me as I watched it. It seemed like 10 minutes. It was one of the best up close sightings I've ever seen. It did turn it's neck around too. I only wish I was as camera crazy then as I am now because I would had gotten so many good pictures of that owl! And that was back in the day of film! lol

I love owls very much too; with their wide variety of looks, their silent flying, gentle hooting, eating mice, all in all they are so good.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Do you mind if I use your owls for my stamping art? They are wonderful!

For the love of all things social, don't shoot the computer. In my background, Owls whisper the wisdom we often don't stop to hear. They are like a conscience if you will. They show you a way you didn't already know. Hugs. tammy

owls fascinate me. I have been a lover since as long as I can remember. Lately they are everywhere I look, in stores, on pillows, note cards even advertisements. It is kind of strange and kind of cool...but I love them just the same.

The local nature center (Mill Grove) has a pair of little owls they are trying to bring back to health and release to the wild - they are the cutest lil' guys... Sleepy too (during the day!)
