Just a few memories of Rose to share for Feline Friday This girl was something. She had so much in common with my beautiful boy Boots.
He was a marvelous friend. He had kindness and compassion not like most cats who like to show their arrogance and domination. He loved Rose and she loved him. The day he passed away, March 16, 2012, Rose groomed him for his final destination. It was her birthday, and it was a difficult day but I will be forever grateful to her for that. She was an ornery girl but her love for Boots was amazing.
This fellow, though arrogant and rude and I assumed, without manners was devastated by the loss of Rose. My middle Rebekah told me after her passing, he came downstairs and slept outside the puppies pen. I notice even today, that he sniffs every inch of the bathroom upstairs because it was her favorite hangout. He does have a kind heart he just does not like to show off with it. My goodness, my Tiger a/k/a Mr. Kitty, Mr. "Tom"pkins and an assortment of other nicknames, was a tiny feline. I worry about him because he loves stealing food from Zach's cat Daphne. He is such a big guy and all the expensive diet food does no good. He just steals better quality food from the tiny girl Daphne.
A thoughtful poem by Richard Back regarding the loss of a feline friend, To my boy Boots, gone nearly 8 years and our sweet Rose gone nearly 2 months ago, this is a nice goodbye to cherish,

Suspect I'm having a Senior Moment(s) … those fill-ins have me stumped. It's fun to ponder, tho!
Isn't the love our fur babies exhibit incredible?
