Happy Birthday Grandma Kocman/ Happy Birthday Anthony Ricklefs

July 15th was my grandmother Mary Videtich Kocman's birthday. It is also the birthday of my nephew Anthony Ricklefs. It is the birthday of my maternal cousin Sharon Trontel and the second birthday of my nephew Josh and his wife Kathryn's little boy Charlie! I think it would be fun to find out your birthday too. Everyone that comments please leave the month and day you were born. July is a phamily birthday filled month. So let's get started:

I am trying to sort through photos to see what I have with Grandma Mary Videtich-Kocman. I remember what a tiny little person she was and she was quite young int his photo with five of their children. She was born 126 years ago today.
This is an older photo of my nephew Anthony Ricklefs. My grandson Colton was really young here. This was Anthony's dog Jack in this photo with them. My nephew has a milestone birthday today. He is 5-0!

My cousin Sharon who is the daughter of my late mom's late sister Elsie and Edward "Munson" Trontel shares this date as her birthday  too. She spent many years teaching Colorado History to kids. Sharon grew up in the grove.

Today is also the birthday of Charlie. He is a Kocman, the son of Josh, my nephew and his wife Kathryn. I don't have a photo to share of Charlie but he is a cute little fellow. My dad would be proud to see the boys in the Kocman phamily, he always wanted to see our last name keep thriving. Happy birthday Charlie!
When I think back to growing up in Bojon Town and celebrating many birthdays with cakes baked by my mom's friend Minka, the Bojon Baker, I smile. She and her husband Emil Zigich had a bakery on Northern Avenue in Bojon Town. She made the most delightful cakes. I told you Bojon's were talented.
Emil Zigich and Maria A. (Minka, Mary) Mesnar were married in 1942 in Sioux Falls, Iowa. Emil had a brother named George who was our mail man for many years in BoJon Town. I thought this was a fun fact to share with our Bojon heritage.

Minka once created a cake for my December birthday very similar to this one. Nice memories to have.

I will wind this post up so I can have it published before anything else goes haywire here at blogger. Have a wonderful evening and:

Happy Birthday to your family members! My dad was born on July 15, too. He would've been 110. I'm a December baby.
