A SIMPLE PINK SATURDAY

Welcome to Pink Saturday. Please go to my sidebar and check the button for the pretty pink lady so you can visit Beverly at her blog and thank her for hosting the weekly pink fest! She is an awesome lady for hosting this and helping each one of us meet new pinkies each week and looking at all the pretty pinks.

I am going to show a few simple pictures that I took with my digital camera. I am not a terrific photographer but I was puttering around and took a few shots outside when it was 90 plus degrees today. My poor climbing rose bush is wilted. But the bright pink flowers always cheer me up. Then there are my tulips red and yellow from earlier this Spring. I will always think of Simply Debbie's daughter Amy whom she lost last year. Debbie told the sweetest story about Amy and a red tulip. Go check her blog and look at some older posts. You will enjoy it.

I found this sweet framed piece of beautiful hand crafted art work at the thrift store for one dollar.
My pretty little purple flowers getting pushed around by the weeds and in the background our my favorite four o'clocks. My late mother loved them and we had them all over our yard. My mom had bright pink, I have yellows ones. I need to get busy weeding!
My poor pinks taking a beating from the heat!

Now come visit  http://thepaintsplash.blogspot.com/. This Debbie has a gift for art that will amaze you. Please join all the pinkies and have a wonderful Pink Saturday.

Thanks for your nice visit. Pink Saturday - that sounds like so much fun since I love pink. Would you believe my word verification is 'prink'! Enjoyed your pink in the photo - always room for more flowers in our lives.

Good morning,

I love the art piece you found.

And, it's super hot here too. I just watered everything before it had time to wilt in todays heat.

Your roses are pretty even though they are hot!

Loving your Pink flowers. I love all Pinks. :-)

Dear One, you commented in my blog, that you don't know how to do Comment Settings. If it's ok, I'll tell you. [I'm forward, that way! Sorry...]

-Look at top right of your blog page. Find "Design" & click on it.
-Look at top right of new page for "Back To Blogger" & click on it.
-Up comes a page, with click-able words at the top left, this time. :-)
-Look for "Settings" & click on it. Another page comes up.
-Look at top left, on the 2nd bar, for "Comments." It's about 4 over from the left. Click on "Comments."
-Voila! Up comes your page, to set all your Comments Settings!

Just look at each place, where you can choose. And click on what you want.

-Down on "Comment Moderation" I have "Always" checked, because I always want to read/vet comments, before allowing them to show up on my blog.

Some people feel this is more work, but I don't see that way. Everyone reads their Comments! I read mine, _before_ they show up on my blog.

You can read/vet comments, on your "Dashboard." Your "Dashboard" will tell you, when you have new Comments to OK. Or you can have them e-mailed to the email address, which is the box, right after "Comment Moderation."

Then we get to the *dreaded* "Show Word Ver. For Comments?" I click on "No," but it's your choice. That "Word Verification" Setting is supposed to keep SPAM bots from commenting. But, I do all the OK-ing of Comments, myself... By reading them. So I don't feel that I have to make my readers do "Word Verification" too.

All my readers have to do is, compose a Comment, click on the Preview to see if it's what they want to say, and then click to leave the Comment. I do the rest!

But it's nice to say that you have "Comment Moderation" turned on. :-) There is a "Comment Form Message" box, on this same page, back up a bit. There, you type what you'd like to say... To inform your readers that you have "Comment Ver." setting on.

I've only had one reader say she dislikes to not have her Comment show up immediatly. No one else said this.

Wheeew! Sorry for high-jacking your Comments, with this long set of instructions. -giggles- I need detailed instructions myself! So I always give detailed instructions. Sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrry...

Dear Anne, you asked me to try out your new Comment Settings! So here I am and here I go!

^_^

And it went fine, without any need for Word Verification! You are sweet!

But............ I do hope that nothing SPAM-ish publishes here, with out any Verification turned on. [As you know, I use Comment Verification, to be sure/safe. Gracious, that sounds like birth control, doesn't it? -grin-]

Anyway, I'm so happy that I could give you a bit of blog info! So much of what I learned, about being on the Net, I learned from sweet ladies who took the time to "tutor" me. :-) If I can be of any other help, be sure to ask.

Gentle hugs...

The heat here has been pretty bad too and my veggies are feeling it the most. The only flowers I have blooming are Lily of the Nile but I hope to put a few more hardier marigolds out for the rest of the summer. Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful pink week and Happy Father's Day to all in your family. p.s. Love that thrifted crossstitch!

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY ANNE,
YOUR FLOWERS ARE SO PRETTY. MY HEART SKIPPED SEVERAL BIG BEATS WHEN I SAW YOUR TULIPS...THANK YOU MENTIONING THE STORY ABOUT THE BLUEJAY AND THE TULIP BULB. THAT WAS SOOOOOO VERY SWEET. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW TULIPS WOULD GROW THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.
I READ ALL YOUR FATHERS DAY POSTS FIRST AND THEN SAW YOUR PINK SATURDAY POST. I ALMOST MISSED IT.
YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL TO ME ANNE AND I DON'T KNOW YET IN MY SPIRIT AS TO WHY THE LORD HAS CONNECTED US BUT I KNOW IT IS MORE THAN FRIENDSHIP...SOMETHING MINISTRY WISE.
YOU ARE IN MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
LOVE AND HUGS
